You should send that shot of the wheel in the sand to Ford!

Nice Bronco, perfect for where you are. I love it in the Sonoran Desert out here.

yeh, have had problems with sand in the turbo of my ford ranger, ended up installing a snorkle with a pre-filter (donaldson topsin) - works great and kinda suits the ranger. Think it would look pretty terrible on the bronco tho, and the noise with the top off wouldn't be ideal either. For now, I think I'll just make do with a blast from an air hose after a session in the dunes

I already have multiple air filters sitting and waiting for their turn. It's just CHEAP insurance.

Hi, thanks! Yes, came with the MIC and I’ve swapped it out for the bestop, with Bimini underneath. I like the look of the fastback and it’s sunny 99% of the time here.

Bestop definitely louder at highway speed, but solved that with some 1.5” memory foam on top of the Bimini. Works great and rolls up small when top is down.

All in all I love the bestop and am unlikely to swap back any time soon.
Where’d you get the memory foam?

Amazon... https://www.amazon.com/Cooling-Matt...g+memory+foam+mattress+topper,aps,1219&sr=8-2

Opted for one with bumps on one side for sound dampening - not sure if it makes any difference as compared to a flat topper but it definitely works really well (bumps facing up). Just made sure it was cut as wide as possible to be snug against the trektop's hardware and sit on top of the roll bars (sides and c pillar) - had to cut out a small hole on each side for the rubber stopper on the trektop's center bracket, but otherwise just straight cuts. Obviously not possible for the foam to extend all the way to the front, so cut it flush with the bimini when the front bit is clipped back (didn't have any wind noise from the header section anyway so this is fine).

The difference at 87mph (the speed limit on a lot of the highways here) is huge, and well worth the little bit of effort each time. Haven't tested over a long period though, so not sure about durability - hopefully fine.

PS. Got it in king size as it was the only available in my market - smaller size would probably work as I cut away a fair bit
