I was just saying he can get awnsers a lot faster if he took it to the dealer And get it back running
It’s the weekend, so service center is likely closed, plus TBD lead time to have them look at it.

and

this type of thread is basically what this forum is for.

EXACTLY!!! Im stuck dead in the middle of a mountain and they say just take it to the dealer. Well duh, but thats why these forums are for, share our experiences and learn in case it happens to you. I would read on here often about the stalling issue, never thought it would happen to me but here I am. One trail in and Boom, shit hit the fan.

There is a recurring stalling issue?

It’s not so much the stall, it’s the valves being mashed into the pistons that causes the “stall”

Not isolated, but not reoccurring. I can’t remember where but there is a YT vid of a guy in CO where his auto four door stalled out when pitched at an incline, which is a bad trait, but his restarted. So highly unlikely they’re related. Not cool either way.

This is the EXACT same symptom as the post I shared. Crank, no start, shut off on the trail. It was a fuel pump issue. There could POSSIBLY be an issue with the pump. Definitely sounds like a fuel issue to me. Easy place to start if you have to know. Disconnect the line at the motor, get a pan and have someone turn on the key to see if you have fuel. That is the first check in my book. Second would be to see if injectors are firing and lastly coils. If the motor is turning over probably not a valve issue.

And the dealer may just say, we can’t replicate it. Let us know if it happens again…

Did you by chance try to start it remotely with the app?

In current tech vehicles, you should get a service tool that allows you to plug in and get all the data you need to diagnose it on the trail. That means finding a tool that doesn't need the internet, which many of the less expensive ones do.

Bro, you don't have to be so dramatic. It's a mechanical thing, and occasionally mechanical things break., even when they're new.

Maybe I'm just jaded, I've driven mostly Land Rovers.

But still. Not a huge deal bud.
disagree 100%.

for 40-50$$k, the goddam thing better run.

Sorry, correction… scanner said Fuel Pump and P0006.
P0006 = Fuel Shutoff Valve A Control circuit low.

So... that fits with everyone else's guess about the stupid fuel shutoff solenoid. But I have no clue where it might be on the Bronco. Sometimes it is hidden in the trunk, sometimes under the passenger kick panel.

I skipped to the end of this post- and i don't know where you live, but is vapor lock still a thing? If it just stalled and you were running low octane at high elevation that could have been it, especially if it was pretty hot outside...

Vapor lock is a real thing, but is highly unlikely in the case of Red Thor. If the cause were vapor lock, the vehicle would have restarted easily after a period of cooling. If high temperatures were encountered again in the fuel injection lines, it could have re-vapor locked, but that would be really weird to happen twice unless there is something uniquely bad about this particular engine. In other words, you'd expect this scenario to be mentioned by other Bronco owners. Especially since Red Thor is (I assume) running his rig in the Los Angeles region (not super hot in May).
It's probably a non vapor lock problem.
The problem a small recurrent number of Bronco owners have had is a dropped valve. Red Thor's experience while not sounding like a dropped valve, also does not sound like vapor lock.

It's looks like we will have to rely on him to tell us the final diagnosis. Sorry to hear about your Bronco troubles Red Thor. May you return to the trail soon.
