It’s so strange to me that the FE has “unique” interior and yet, it’s the same interior as offered on the Outer Banks...
Agreed. It could be "unique" in that more surfaces are covered or that the stitching matches the exterior color or that there's alcantara...or something else perhaps?

If it’s navy only, then I’ll likely option up a badlands. I felt so “lucky” to snag a FE reservation on launch night, but can’t see myself dropping that much coin on something so ugly.

You just described the entire Ford Bronco model. The new model in all things is to sell you something that you keep buying more for (accessories, tuners, software subscriptions, etc.). The issue for here, and Ford, is that we will NOT be spending that money with them. And face it, out the door we are talking a $70K car! That is what I paid for my M550i! And it is fully loaded, has a V8, has all the tech this beast has and goes really fast. I haven't tried it off-road yet... :D
You should home squatch your M550i and report back with the results!

This is very well said. If I may counter, I'd argue that their target demographic for First Editions specifically, are highly-motivated, enthusiastic fans that will be Brand Ambassadors for both Ford and the Bronco. This forum is the target. Not a sample... THE target. So if their First Edition is geared towards us and WE don't like it, it's a highhhhhhhhh chance the other 6500+ First Edition Reservation Holders are with us. And we're just regular Joe's. Not celebrities or paid endorsers.
I can see that, but not everyone wants to be a YouTuber when they grow up like my daughter. :p

Kidding aside...in my personal opinion, the First Editions should be the carrot for which the Bronco faithful have been waiting about 25 years to bite. This isn't the GT. It's around Mustang Bullitt exclusivity by the numbers. Plus, what good is showing off something that repulses over half of the potential buyers of the bulk of your product offerings?

I think we totally agree in general, mods, please don't delete me, bro!

Don't delete us! We're in total agreement here. SAVE US.

But yeah, my only edit to your post would have been that we are, indeed, the middle of the curve with almost no skew. That our forum is the exact target/sample they want. Of all incomes, races, demographics, locations, education, political affiliation... We all wanna blow soooo much money on a First Edition for one sole reason: we love Broncos and want to show 'em off. But if it's ugly... they're disappointing their brand's biggest hype-men (and ladies).

I wouldn’t mind that alcantara— I’m gonna go back to tweeting Mike daily (hey it worked last time)

EXACTLY. We are the ones that have been reading, sitting, and waiting for this launch. We are the ones that were telling friends and family about the Bronco launch. We are the ones that had the launch on our calendars. We are the ones that logged on at 2000EDT and fought the system knowing that the FE was there. WE are the ones that will likely have them on the road and trail first. We are the " NET PROMOTERS". Every happy FE owner results in multiple Bronco sales and advertising that Ford can't buy. We can be Ford's biggest assets or their biggest distractors. We are the market.

Not only that but Ford should want all of their other customers saying man sure wish we had been able to get one of those First Editions. That would easily carry the rest of their sales. If they do not make this happen that will not be the case and most of us will not be proud of our Broncos.

Completely agree. Proud was too harsh. Let me rephrase by saying we will be proud but also disappointed. We should not be disappointed though and Ford knows this.

Shit, man. If it was ACTUALLY Seafoam, then I'd probably be into it. But if we're talking about weddings and how to dress, let's discuss the actual Navy Pier scheme...

Did your parents (or anyone with more than a handful of brain cells) tell you not to wear navy blue and black together? Sparing you the spiral of educational Color Theory I want to go into, let's just say that you don't mix them because they lack intentional contrast. It's why, in weddings, you see people in gray suits with navy accents or vice versa. Navy/gray/brown shoes. That's a typical look. You don't wear black shoes with navy socks. It's a color theory thing.

Anyway, I've gone wayyy off topic. Point is Navy Pier is not well-designed. And this is from someone who does it for a living and isn't giving a subjective mindset. It's an actual, measurable thing. And you'd think Ford would have hired a designer with basic color theory knowledge to design an "exclusive" interior option (even though it's available on other trims and isn't exclusive at all... just... fuuuuuuuuuuuuu).
This guy gets it.

First thing my wife will say when I drive a Navy Pier FE home is..."black and blue should never be paired together unless you are colorblind"
