I don't see it as a constraint, just a ford choice to choose profit over customer service.
Is not that ford can't get the parts
We all know Ford makes far more money on $35K base and big bend than they do on loaded $50K+ high end models. The expertise on this site is mind blowing. Imagine the vehicles we could buy if Bronco6G started their own car company? With Trabant and Yugo out of business, there is room for more companies that don't make a profit. Good luck, I'll stay with Ford and Toyota no matter how much profit they make.

Fingers crossed, I'm still a scheduled 5/2 build week for my 2 door day 2 reservation. I had wanted an early bronco since I could drive but I never had the scratch to buy one and nowhere to work on a fixer upper. The price has risen on those to crazy levels so when this new fancy 6gen version was announced I was all in. I really wanted the classic 2 door look but I have a family so I did pause briefly. I ultimately decided this was going to be my "mid life crisis" vehicle not my daily driver so I went with my heart and held fast that I didn't care if it took longer to get a 2 door. I wasn't going to revise my order which had every constraint possible other than squanch. I am one of the lucky ones that at least has a date but man its painful to see all of them showing up around town :)

funny as hell that 2 door fanboys are so vocal around here it makes it seem like over 50% of broncos are 2 door, but then you look at the numbers and realize they are just a noisy minority. 15% 2 door? yea move those to the side and get my 4 door produced! :ROFLMAO:

The only REAL Bronco is a 2-Door Bronco. ;)

(I'm totally just trolling - if and when I have a kid, I will own a 4-door)

"2Dr Better Bronco"? There are many disadvantages. Of course rear seat access and cargo room are huge ones, but it doesn't end there. 4-door has advantages when it comes to structural integrity. There is an additional pillar, and the doors are smaller and lighter. Big long doors put a lot of strain on the pillar and hinges and door sag tends to be a problem over time. That said I appreciate the 2dr they look great and "real" Broncos were 2-door. If I never intended to haul passengers and cargo space was not a consideration I would get one. There is a reason why the 4Dr take rate on both Jeeps and Broncos is around 85%.

I'd be curious to see how much that has changed since many 2D folks jumped ship to a 4D to speed up the process.
I'm the opposite...switched from 4dr to 2dr! Less practical? Sure, but the more I kept waiting and seeing Bronco pics, the more I just had to go with the 2dr.

The vintage Bronco is what got me hooked so many years ago and when I see a 4dr I just think "SUV" but when I see a 2dr...I'm like that's a BRONCO

Was fortunate to get mine this February and absolutely love it!

Come on people, we all know the Base bronco is the only real Bronco. Real bronco

We all know the Base bronco is the only "real" bronco. Real broncos don't have heated seats and they certainly don't have sway bar disconnect. :)

good points, most pros and cons on the topic can be countered and recountered into an endless loop. the one argument that both camps can agree on is:

long wheel base gets high centered more often. short wheel base rolls over more often.

choice is yours.

I sat in a 4-door. The B-pillar location and short door would drive me nuts. If I owned one, I would hate driving it.

I'm not even tall (5' 10") and the B-pillar is right in my shoulder.

Not a problem on the 2-door. Largest compromise on the 2-Door is the stupid tiny gas tank, 2nd is the cargo area. I honestly wish the 2-door was about 4" longer.

But apparently it is simply too hard for Ford to build my 2-Door base model. Maybe I should drop the AUX switches; it's literally the only thing I added other than a premium paint color (HPR since they took away Rapid Red).

Funny how many mordor buyers over the last 2 years have said the very same thing. Rationalizing and justifying their choice, and the whole time deep down inside they really want a 2 door!

Does it seem like they are building 2drs in batches? My build week seemed to have a good bit of 2drs in it including mine.
I saw that with mine. Even at our store, 3 of them kind of came in at once regardless of order date.

But I am also convinced that Ford will choose profit over service
Of course they will. They're a business that's in business to make profit. That's what businesses do. They're going to sell the Broncos regardless of whether or not the purchaser is a day 1 hour 1 reservation holder or someone who walks in off the lot with cash in hand going "ooooo... that one's pretty." There are very few businesses that will say "you know what? we're going to make things right regardless of how much money we lose because we're loyal to our customers"

Personally I think they're trying to find a balance... put things out in whatever configuration they can in order to get vehicles on the road and the lot (which builds profit by volume) and clearing the order books to satisfy those that have been waiting. They won't likely go all one way or the other.

85% maybe now because half of those would get two doors
They were forced to get more doors for family reasons
In reality they would have gotten a
Two door bronco
The take is 85 to 15 % no doubt
But the want would be 50/50

To repeat other posters comments, it's definitely worth the wait.

I have previously owned an FJ Cruiser and a 2DR Rubicon and I have not taken my Badlands 4 wheeling yet. Both of these vehicles fall way short of the fun factor of the Bronco as a daily driver.

I have a 2.7 and this vehicle is like a 4WD sports car on the road. Think water bug with respects to agility. I've taken only my front panels off on the few warmer days here in Denver and it's a good thing my windows are tinted because I have a huge shit eating grin driving this truck. I can't wait to go full topless.

If the top didn't squeak I could find no faults. Be patient....it's worth it.
This is a very good way to describe how the 2 door with the 2.7 drives to me as well. It's so nimble and parks so darn easy I can't believe I can park it so fast.
