Question on this... Are we sure on the date for the MY22.5 pricing? My blend date was 3/16 and my dealer said I had $825 in price protection. I did the math and the difference between my initial order (placed early in 21) and the MSRP on my actual window sticker is $505. The only difference between the builds is I opted for the standard capable bumper for the 22 reorder. This can't be emphasized enough that others begin the discussion now. Our group will be the guinea pigs on the MY'22.5 price protection. Some in our group show the MY'22 pricing (blend date of 3/14) while others produced later show the MY'22.5 pricing.
Back in the beginning of the year, there were some who experienced difficulty with the simple Smart Vincent rebate as dealers weren't aware of the existence of the rebate. Now, all dealers have enough experience with prior Bronco deliveries that the Smart Vincent rebate is handled seamlessly.
Now, Ford has introduced another component to price protection and I expect it not to be seamless until the dealers gain experience with the two-fold process.
Good luck to everyone and report back how your dealer will be handling it. It may not matter much for us, but others in future weeks can benefit from our experience.
@Ford Motor CompanyIt depends on you original order.

My 3/14 blend date was used as a reference not a definitive cutoff. The reference being those in the beginning of our build week have MY'22 pricing window stickers. I'm guessing I am part of the MY22 pricing and not the 22.5 pricing, but my blend date is 3/16.
The certificates in the Smart Vincent system are already there. Dealer can see if one is present by searching for your name/address. It will be there or it won't. That certificate is only for those that had a qualifying MY'21 order (reservation/order before 3/19/2021).
It would just be so much easier to update the original certificate as opposed to creating a different process, but hey here we are lol. The price difference between MY'22 and MY'22.5 is handled differently in that the dealer has to submit to Ford for the difference which will be reimbursed to the dealer. Some dealers will wait till they receive the funds before issuing compensation. Others may give the credit upfront and wait for the reimbursement from Ford to balance their books.
I've come to realize this too. Seems they have to use the same crappy tracking systems....They aren't even Ford employees....they are at the mercy of ford just like the rest of usIt’s so frustrating when you contact your dealer to see if they have a delivery date and then they tell you that they just checked in the morning and there’s no update.
When you know damn well that it’s on its way and you can track it yourself ha ha Ha
So you tell them that the estimated delivery date is between 4/4 and 4/10 and they tell you oh OK I’ll have to check again in the morning lol
We all seem to know more than the dealers
I’ve only read comments from members like you who areUnfortunately it is not a 1 step process since "Smart Vincent" only recognizes the original price protection (as we found out from a few other members in here). You and everyone else that is getting their bronco in this group really should start discussing it with your dealer so that they are aware, because mine didn't even know about the price increase.
My take is that since 22.5 pricing recently went into effect it doesn’t surprise me that the Smart Vincent system still reflects the old price. This is leading people to speculate on how the additional discount will be handled.Unfortunately it is not a 1 step process since "Smart Vincent" only recognizes the original price protection (as we found out from a few other members in here). Well I guess they have two days leftMine has been built for almost 10 days and not shipped.... Listed as Convoy carrier delay. Called the dealership and the owner is in the same boat as me. The GM said the owner has been riding his bum to put in a rush to get it his delivered. If he can't get any traction, I sure won't have any pull.
On the bright side the GM said Ford is really trying to get as many shipped by the 31st as possible to hit Q1 #'s.
Mine was there when I went and did the transaction they subtract it from your bill.
Did you have the MY 22 or MY 22.5 MSRP on your window sticker?A

Yup, everything is constantly revolving and hopefully it works out in all our favor. I’m still working with my dealer to try and have it knocked off at signing. I mean $95 is still $95 and I won’t be $1500 out of pocket for 2 months.I’ve only read comments from members like you who are

Your reference to other forum members isn’t really meaningful at this point, in my opinion, since the members on our thread haven’t commented about their real life experience and we’re going to be the first group impacted by this transition to 22.5 year pricing. Others are only posting what they’ve been told, have heard or have come up based on their own research and assumptions. You and I are no different.
Lastly, you advise me to discuss with my dealer which I’ve done and I’ve also done as much or more research on this topic as any forum member but I’ve simply come to a different conclusion based on that research and my own experience. Your advice doesn’t fall on deaf ears and your opinion on how this will work is noted.
All that said I’m prepared for any scenario and know what my response to each will be when I sit down to write the check and take delivery. These scenarios include the one you believe will take place, one where the dealer won’t take off the additional $2,000 and a one step process that’ll include the full price protection and this one assumes Smart Vincent will ve updated to reflect 22.5 price protection. You can also bet I’ll have my iPad in my hand with the Ford page book marked and ready to show the dealer. That’s been shared once and will be again.
