It really won't be that big of a deal. I'm sure it will be handled like a recall. The VIN numbers can be tracked easily. It's not even that many broncos effected, compared to some safety recalls involving half a million cars in the past.pesonally I would only want a bronco that is 100% complete. Like you said, it will a logistical nightmare to try to coordinate it after the fact. Bronco6g does not know what it is getting itself into. There are so many variables introduced in the equation once Ford tries to add chips to your your bronco that is sitting in your garage.
The numbers involved can grow moving forward depending upon supply issues. That may make it a bigger problem in the future. More of an inconvenience for owners at the moment. Will have to bring in broncos, ect for retrofit.
Dealers will take the sales.
