Why not ask for a 0.0% APR 120 month loan, free oil changes for life, unlimited coffee refills, and a free pair of socks as well?I have no problem with this As a long as Ford and the dealership meet the following
1) they disclosed this to the purchaser
2) the vehicle is sold at a HUGE discount
3) Ford gives people the option to reorder their Bronco's if they've been sitting on dirt/snow
mountain for they last year or so rotting
Ford should read this thread and take note...I'll pay extra to not have start stop. Ship mine with a real tach too.
Thank you please.
Yep. There's gotta be at least one post out here with some barnyard engineer clamoring for a "chip" because they have a Hakko out back.Good post, I really feel some people believe dealer mechanics will be soldering in transistors on a circuit card!!
I've been advised that due to Automotive News being a pay-wall publication we are not allowed to repost their articles in its entirety so I've summarized the main points in post #1. I discovered the article through this Google News link where it was not blocked.Articles are behind a paywall. Love to read it.
Has anyone tired this with the bronco yet?You can order F150s without start/stop and actually get $50 credit for removing it
I feel the same... It would open ford for so much liabilities.. Like if someone gets in an accident and blames ford for not having a chip it should have had.... chaos...?Fake News - liability in doing this would cause so much warranty work it would be insane. Imagine the paperwork "We promise to add the chips to complete your vehicle within a year - but you owe full price today"? - no chance - board of directors would fire anyone authorizing this.
Haha I noticed that in my Badlands Sport. I keep mine at level 2 most of the time. You can barely use the Broncos heated seats in Jan, they fry your A**!!![]()
I’m not being condescending…….just trying to understand your thought process. If it’s going to take a year for ford to get whatever module controls auto start/stop or a heated steering wheel…..with spring, summer, and early fall next up in the Season cycle, you’d rather not receive your Bronco at all?Yeeeeah, I’m paying for a fully loaded bronco, I’ll wait until they can deliver a fully loaded bronco. Unless they’re knocking something off the price… not going to just casually throw away the time value of that money for undisclosed somethings they’re not giving me until some undisclosed later date.
To anyone who just wants their truck or who just wanted something without “bells and whistles” anyway, more power to ya. I hope this helps you get behind the wheel all the sooner.
But for me, bad deal, not interested. I’ll keep waiting.
