Here is how I moved my running boards couple inch toward the rear to fit mud flaps in the front... (to be installed). I switch the right and left so I have some meat to drill in.

It is not to difficult to move the running boards back an inch. Had to drill new holes in 3 brackets
front flaps went on without any cutting

So you just used one bolt to secure the step, after you moved it?

You know what’s frustrating, I just watched a YouTube video of a guy doing a walk around of a ‘23MY Ranger. It had factory mud flaps that looked great. Why isn’t Ford offering the same on the Bronco, especially those with the Sasquatch package? Curious 🤨.

See Ranger with factory mud flaps above. Why can’t Ford do the same for the Bronco?

It's ridiculous that these OEM running boards do not allow for front mud flaps. I bought the OEM mud flaps and took the bronco into my local body shop. They followed the GatorBack I printed instructions out for them on moving the running boards and installed them. It took 2-3 hours of shop time, but I don't have a heated garage and didn't feel like doing it so I gladly paid to have it done. It's 1000% better and I'm not constantly throwing crap up on the side of the vehicle.

$40 from Advance Auto. Sasquatch with factory rocker guards. Was able to use a few holes from the factory wheel well fasteners.

QUESTION! I have the OEM mud flaps, too, and I'm looking at the instructions, which I think are terrible! It shows that you have to slip on a metal clip (D) each side, I believe to the felt liner, so you can use a threaded bolt. By sliding on the metal clip between the felt and fender well lip, won't that scratch up the painted fender well lip?

Hello, I was wondering if you switched the side steps around (as most of the information I'm finding says to do) or just moved them respectably back an inch to fit the mud flap and drilled the holes out?

I did not flip them.

I drilled new holes and shifted them back 1”. You don’t notice they were moved, flaps fit nicely and everything lines up

Roger that. I’ve been smashing my head on the wall trying to figure this out. Read some people where flipping the brackets too. 🤔.
1 last question, Did you tap the drilled holes or made the space for the U-Nut?
