The bd is only a consideration for me because of the Marine/Rubber. The other things aren't really that important to me, sure it would be cool to have them but not at 8k more. Plus, I'm not a fan of the wheels or even the tires that much. So at the very least I will buy aftermarket wheels or upgrade through Ford there as well.

Then comes the engine upgrade, 4x4 engagement and noise dampening which is the only 3 things I want. adding that to the BD makes the cost go up quite a bit. Ideally Ford will let me/everyone get the Marine/Rubber on the base for $1000/1500

I'm already looking at custom flooring/mats and seat covers. But there's also the possibility that the cloth is better than expected. And the cheaper alternative is living with it and throwing some seat cover/weather techs, which can't be ruled out just yet as well

What is good about the squaanch is the upgraded tires and wheels, which many want to change on the lower end models, so it upgrades things that you were going to upgrade regardless. Plus u get the other goodies. I just think the look is a little goofy and really not for me. but since i'm already upgrading to auto 2.7...sasquaaanch will be an option, but every pic with 32/33 looks plenty awesome, and the base looks vintage as well. + buying tires/rims aftermarket isn't that costly

So are you going Base without Sasquatch?

I’d say wait and see what factory/dealer lift options are available. My dealer mentioned that Roush had been working for a good while on parts for the Bronco under Ford Performance. No idea if that’s speculation or fact, but it would make sense with the “200+ accessories.”

Ranger has a Roush lift with fox shocks for around $1200. The bronco has two sets of coil overs so maybe more expensive, but definitely not too bad.

For your use case, All Terrains might be a better idea anyway. I was originally going to squatch, but I don’t want the MTs that are offered. I’ll just buy new tires later on.

I definitely want All Terrain tires. I have zero use for MTs. If I go Basequatch ill definitely have to change out the tires most likely right at the dealership. Ford should give us an option from the factory what tire we want when it comes to the Sasquatch. Should be at least 2 options. MT or AT.

Speaking of tires it looks like if I would go non Sasquatch and pick the Black Diamond with the General ATx tires that come with it my ground clearance would be 10.1 because the tires measure out to 31.6" not a full 32". The Base is 8.4 with 30s. Which isn't bad perfectly fine for off road. In my mind that ground clearance can go even higher with a bigger set of 32s or 33s once the factory tires wear off. Probably bump it to around 10.5 to 10.8 clearance. Sure its not the full 11.6 you get with Sasquatch but it would be close.

Why are we so torn between these lol? I can’t decide either. I feel like the pricing tool isn’t gonna help me decide much better either.

Black diamond gives me everything I want except the Sasquatch to fit my budget of less than $45k. Base with Sasquatch gives me everything I want except heated seats, remote start, and leather steering wheel.
Well one thing you can do with the FordPass App is the remote start. You can even set your vehicle to remote start daily to be ready for you when you take it to work and so on. You just won't get it on the key fob. At least it's one thing you can take off your list though.

Hey brother, if you're looking for a great A/T with a pretty aggressive tread pattern similar to a M/T, I absolutely love the Falken Wildpeak AT3W. You can also opt for a hybrid tire which is designed for both A/T and M/T like a Nitto Ridge Grappler (expensive), or an Atturo Trailblade X/T. All three of those are great tires.

Curious because I’ll also be considering BD+ sas + mid...
Is everything included on the sas necessary useful outside of rock crawling..
if I don’t need the front locker etc I would just get wheels, tires and a 2 inch lift.

I think I am down to 3 options, BD with dealer install 33s, BD with Sasquatch , or BL basic but update to 2.7/A10. I really only want he Mid package option which you can get on the BL. The Sasquatch includes everything I want (both lockers and A10), I just wish a 33" was an option for that. I dont really want the 35's but I guess I can buy a new set of 33s, but thats extra $. B&P solves everything !!!! cmon Ford.

I'm so torn on what Model I want to go with. I originally plan on going Base+ Sasquatch 2 door. Obviously the Package pricing is definitely going to be the determining factor.

With that said I really like the Black Diamond. I love all the accessories it comes with. Especially the Vinyl interior with rubber floors and drain plugs. And there's the Steel bumpers, auxiliary switches, rock sliders, upgraded heavy duty bash plates, and more.

The other thing is I'm not really a fan of the style of the Sasquatch wheels. And I don't want Mud tires Especially in the Winter here in the North East. I love the painted gloss black Black Diamond wheels. They look so retro and cool. But I want the Sasquatch for the ground clearance and the look of 35s. I love that look. Plus the front locker.

I really like the Grabber ATx tires with the BD wheels I just don't know if I'd be happy with the smaller size and less clearance. Im guessing with the 32s the Clearance is probably around 9.8 or so. Which is still good.

Also I'm still torn about color. I've been set on Antimatter being that my main plan is to go Base. But Area 51 was my first Love. Its the color I originally wanted. If I go BD I would be able to get it.

Man this is hard. Im literally torn right down the middle on this. Both options have totally different major pluses.

Basically factory lift with 35s and dual lockers versus BD with all the other goodies but only rear locker and 32s?

Most people say rear locker is all you need. And if you need both (front) your Basically somewhere extreme beating the crap out of your vehicle which i have no interest in doing. Its mostly going to be for light Adventure Off roading and Overland.

What to do? ?
We are in the EXACT same boat. I’m debating on the same thing for the same reasons. Probably gonna end up with a basesquatch though because of the price.

That’s a good point. I should also get over my odd obsession for a leather wrapped steering wheel. I’m sure whatever material they use instead will be fine and will probably even hold up better than leather.

No heated seats sucks but I guess if I get desperate I’ll throw some hand warmers on the seat lol.

Same problem here. Hoping BD with 2.7, Mid and Samsquanch can be had under 45k with x-plan. If this isn’t possible then I may be going Big Bend. BB grill is the nicest imo

I won't know for sure what I'll end up with until they release the Sasquatch pricing. I have a feeling its going to be a little bit more then the Black Diamond. If its the same price or a little less ill be torn. If its a couple thousand more then the BD well then im getting the BD. Come on Ford release the Dam pricing already before I go nutz.?

Most likely.

base ........................................…………………………………………….....28.5K
auto/engine upgrade...………………...……………………………….....5k
4x4 auto engage.+ noise dampening..…………………….1k
tax...…………..…………………………………………………………………………………….2k.

adds up quickly...and comes out to more than the bd with a stick.

I would stick with the 2.3L and stick if I had a choice, and might splurge for the BD because of it, but I can't for various reasons. This is a pretty big cost increase

Aprox $38k out the door

add at least 5K for the quach package and @ the minimum of $43k.

The decision lies in the build and price, for me anyway.
