You read it, I thought I was pulling hood release, wasn't paying attention. I yanked it and it snapped, now the brake won't dis engage. Anything I can do without having it towed to the dealer?

Thanks I'll try that, I agree doesn't seem stuck on, more likely I broke the switch.it's an electronic system - I doubt the brake is jammed. The switch is probably broken setting off the alert. Might be as simple as changing that switch out. Best take it to the dealer, as I doubt oyu can even get the switch now.
No pics, the handle was stuck in the "pulled" position, as in over extended out. I pushed it back in, seems to toggle fine but that doesn't engage or disengage the alert or light indicating engaged. That's just on all the time, even though I can drive. I don't plan on driving just incase. You snapped the handle? The parking brake is electric so it only sends a signal to the module. You should only need to push the parking brake lever back in to disengage it, is there a way you can do that with the current situation?
Do you have pictures, that may help as well.
This did not change the situation incase folks are following. I can feel it disengage when I drop into drive. To the dealer it goes.Try unplugging the battery. Maybe that will reset the system to be off until you get it to a dealership.
Did they mention what folks with all those broken handles did lol! This exact scenario was one of the first items they went over in the Off-Roadeo that I went to. They mentioned they have had several e-brakes broken due to over zealous pulling on the switch.
don’t worry OP you are in good company.
My wife did exactly the same thing and pulled the switch too hard breaking it. It took 2 weeks to fix under warranty. The appointment was made for repair 2 weeks out and the dealer indicated the part actually came in about a week later. All was successfully repaired.it's an electronic system - I doubt the brake is jammed. The switch is probably broken setting off the alert. Might be as simple as changing that switch out. Other than sending them off to get fixed they did not say anything beyond that. Their advice was to use two fingers and gently pull up and towards you.Did they mention what folks with all those broken handles did lol!
