So I decided to install the Ford tailgate table today and after removing the plastic cover from the tailgate, it appears as though Ford miss a spot during the painting process.

It's hard to tell from the photo, but the light white areas are missing paint. It's clearcoated, but no paint.

That "Quality is job #1" slogan is still a work in progress. Ford doesn't seem to worry about it, apparently they think either should we :sneaky:. Just think how much money can be saved by not painting what will be hiding behind panels and doors anyway

That would never happen at the Toyota plant in Japan.
That is true!

It is also true that Toyota will never build an actual off road suv with removable top and doors, push button front and rear lockers, 35’s, bead lock wheels, etc.

Don’t get me wrong, I would love for them to build it and would buy it as soon as it hit the states. They won’t though.

So here we all are…

Don't look behind nearly any vehicles door panels, carpeting or interior trim then...

Excuse my ignorance but if the processes are automated how are so many things missed?

And why under any circumstance would a beer bottle be on the assembly line??

Don't pull up any other interior trim on your Bronco, or any other car. You'll find more missing paint.

I sort of thought that area would have been painted since you can install a table there.
Does the Ford tailgate not cover it? The JCR looks like it does.
