I bought the same one. Taking off the old one in my book was a PITA.

Yikes. Did you use a heat gun or something similar, or just pry it off?

How about installing the new one? Any issues there?

Not too bad. Heat gun, gently prying with a trim tool, clean up the excess adhesive and stick the new one right on. Take your time prying it off though, there are two tabs on the back that can break easily.

Awesome. I bought a gloss and matte black sticker overlay for my oval, but this looks like a much cleaner solution. I'm guessing it's probably not much more difficult to replace the oval than it is to mess around trying to get a sticker lined up just right.

Pulled every beauty ring bolt, cleaned off the lock-tight, put anti-seize on them, and re-installed. Hopefully to head off any issues in the future. Why they lock-tighted these is beyond me.

I used fishing line to break up the adhesive. I used a plastic prey tool to try and lift it and get to the 2 clips. I ended up breaking the old emblem which I didn't care about. The new one went on perfect.

Installed some Tractor Supply Pod Lights. They also have an Amber back light, not sure I'll keep that feature as it's just decorative but I had a switch so why not.

I have them a bit lower than the low beams and pointed off to the side, need to do some night testing tonight.

My goal is to fill in off to the the sides a bit more. I'll get some driving/ fog lights in the bumper next.

I about to add a port to this area. Was the area below the tray wide open?

Once you drop the glove box and remove it, you can get a better idea. From what I can tell, there's probably an inch, maybe an inch and a half, of open space below that part of the dash. It's not wide open and takes some patience to feed a wire down.
