We added our new stripe (available next week) and then enjoyed some sun with the top down!

More info please.
Apologies in advance, I didn't take pics of the install. It may seem more difficult than it is. My reluctance was not wanting to take the dash apart, which is not at all necessary.

I purchased this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B091CWJ8DT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

EDIT: You need to supply your own wire (the leads on the port I purchased were maybe 6 - 8"), fuse tap, butt connectors, and fasteners to attach port to dash.

You need three holes in the dash, one for the wires (make the hole big enough to pass a butt connector and one wire at the same time), and two to mount the port. Steps I took:

1. Loosely prewire the USB port to switched power via under dash BCM fuse box and ground - make sure it works BEFORE you drill holes in your dash.

2. With 1 out of the way, make a template of the bottom of the port from paper so you can locate the port on your dash. I only drilled the hole for the wires (size of hole depends on your butt connectors - just make sure the hole is large enough to pass a single wire and a butt connector together).

3. I took some blue wire and fed it down the hole in the dash top, angling/aiming for the glove box area. It took a couple of attempts, but I was finally able to see where the wire emerges, get hold of it and pull it down. I attached the lead and ground wires (red and black) to the blue and pulled them back up through the bottom of the dash from the passenger footwell.

4. I fished the lead and ground behind the heater over to the driver's side and in front of the steering wheel, fastening the ground to the left side bolt that's under the lower dash trim panel (the panel you drop to reveal the fuse box).

5. Connected the lead to fuse 35 (5 amp) via a fuse tap. Verified that the port still functioned for both USB A and USB C. Closed the lower dash trim panel.

6. Oriented the port on the dash, marked two remaining hole locations (to fasten it to the dash with screws). I used an Exacto knife, rotating it slowly, to make a small opening in the dash plastic for my screws. Then just fixed the two fasteners, applied the cover plate (covers the screws), and DONE.

Took about an hour.

I installed the autostop eliminator, door sill protectors, paracord grab handles, t bolt tie down hooks for the hard top, and bronco logo seat belt pads. Now I'm drinking.

I stalked the social media of the place doin ppf/tint/exhaust and brandview mirror install on my badlands. I rented a wrangler Sahara 4xe on Turo to have while waiting to get my rig back. The bronco is so much roomier and more comfortable. Plus the keep doesn’t drive well. The steering and front wheels are all over the place. I couldn’t own a wrangler as a daily driver. The Bronco is far superior on the road

Shit, how did I forget that I also installed new speakers, in dash and rear pods. Proper 12 whisky, that's how! What a day.

I think this deserves its own thread. Well done!
