I was told by a member here a few pages ago if Ford didn't have parts for our builds they wouldn't just shut down and send folks home. I'm sure nobody in the country has had an 18 month long reservation for a MIC equipped trim with lux. Here is another walk in, no res person who just happened to order that exact thing 1.5 months ago and got picked up...this is a joke.

For those of you still waiting, is it possible to make a new order in hopes of having the new order picked up sooner versus the existing reservation? I have a higher trim level but sacrificed and went with a soft top (not bad at all). The order was picked up within 2 weeks.

I see. But that suggests that the constraints are caused by the reservation holder and not the restaurant. In our case, my whole party is here, but the restaurant doesn’t have plates and forks available for us yet.
Realest thing I’ve heard

One of the things that annoys me about this "we'll build what we have the parts for" is this potential scenario:
* someone has an order in for a 2 door with lux + tow
* they have all the parts except the tow package this week, so they build someone else's 2 door lux with no tow
* next week they don't have parts for 2 doors but they do have tow parts.
Basically if you have constraint parts in your build you're waiting for the stars to align so that you get your Bronco. Oh and then there's dealer allocation on top of that

The food analogy is stupid so let's just stop it...

My orders were put in within about 3 days the banks opening BOTH times which was several weeks before scheduling began and were coded 10 as I was sent a copy of the order.

It's just my way of explaining thing, "big bird to cookie monster style". Reservations still don't mean anything and that is obvious.

Your ordering situation sounds good, but more constrained MY22 models are rolling off the line already, so those facts do not pass the smell test. Looks like an order issue of some sort. I think your dealer is the problem.

Would you care to ask John @StephensAutoCenter if he's the problem? There are 2 dealers I trust on this board and he's one of them. I assure you the issue isn't with them. The issue is 100% with Ford's screwed up allocation system that they changed midstream.

Tag @Ford Motor Company and @mrlevine. All the time, every time.
That's not what I meant. I see them tagged in every thread. It's just white noise in the background. Mike isn't our spokesman or Ford's ear to the public. You wouldn't expect to get anywhere complaining to Ronald McDonald about missing lettuce in your burger would you?

Know what they have in common though? They're both clowns.

Yes!!!! Never hurts to ask a man or woman if they are the problem. Are you scared to ask them yourself?

Hey John @StephensAutoCenter, are you the reason why this forum member doesn't have his Bronco yet. If not, please answer his concerns, so he can live a better, more happy life. He seems miserable on here.

There you go sir. Hope he answers you.

they have accounts for a reason. Ofcourse it’s an earpiece to customers - he’s their communications front man!

Ford will pull the plug on the last 5% or so of hard core reservationists who only stay for spite to beat Ford eventually, another 15-20% will be driven away by increasingly unpalatable (to go with the restaurant theme) changes that make them give up. I would think about 4000 reservations 'expire' eventually due to <insert BS Ford excuse here>.

edit; maybe those that use twitter and such things would fire up a link to those original terms that generated the bulk of the reservations and send it to Levine and every other Ford exec about nine times a day. Ask them why they are not ethical enough to keep their word?

Honestly, Ford will sell them all for the next couple years, they gain nothing extra by not following their word. Boo Hoo, big dealer is upset, so what? You think they are going to stop buying Fords and spend the coin to become Kia dealers instead? Give up the sunk costs in their dealerships? Fuck no. There is no reason to appease them, they are stuck with Ford. The smaller dealers might go under and then Ford actually might lose some sales due to lack of dealers in smaller towns.
I (along with several others) have been tweeting at Ford on any post related to reservations of any product. The Mach-E, Maverick, and now Lightning are seeing the same problems we're seeing with the Bronco. Way back in October when the 2022 allocation rules were announced we encouraged everyone to do the same. Use hashtag #ReservationsOverAllocations

When you go to a restaurant do you expect them to hold the table if your entire party is not there for another 2 hours?

dealer allocation does suck though
All the parties are there, or parts in this case. They build dealer units and new orders first to keep big dealers happy. Ford lied to their customers twice on launch week!

does anything think that if a dealership had multiple allocations available they would somehow be advertising it to get the orders in? Doesn't make sense that the ones with allocations would keep it a secret. Maybe the ones without so they could keep getting orders.
My local dealer wants to protect allocations for local customers. Anyone out of town can order, but with a $5k surcharge upfront. He wants his allocations to go to local customers.

Also one of the big dealers that just got 23 scheduled out of 200 orders said they like to "pace" their selves on their allocations. In other words, don't want to get to sideways. Even with 23 scheduled it will take 8.5 months to fill the back log.
