It's a SUV. Not a truck. I had a pickup truck before and retailed for $40k. When I switched to my $54k Bronco SUV my insurance actually decreased by 20%. I was quite surprised.

Mine went up less than $10 a month from a 2019 Ford Edge.

It's pretty cheap for the Bronco because they know that if you total it, it will take a couple of years for your replacement to come in and the insurance company can make some money from the interest in the meantime

2014 Escape to a 2021 bronco badlands. up $17 a year.

for a vehicle worth 4x as much, bigger engine, presumably more risk use cases, I was shocked.
