for a vehicle worth 4x as much, bigger engine, presumably more risk use cases, I was shocked.

Can some of the folks who have their Bronco say how the cost for insurance was compared to other trucks or is it considered a convertable?

Depends largely on the company, agency and coverage. I paid $49/mo for my 06 wrangler. My some day badlands will be only $40 more. Of course, I'm and old guy with a perfect driving record.

I was actually surprised when I replaced my Bronco Sport with my Bronco, the insurance went down a few dollars. I wasn't expecting that.

Could be because of all the built in safety features?

My Bronco Sport actually was a higher trim level and had a few more bells and whistles when it came to safety.
