As a fifth grade teacher I spend plenty of time talking to 11 year olds about fairness, kindness, right, and wrong.

Like many of you, over a year ago I reserved a Bronco. I had never heard of allocations, ADM, or @mrlevine. I thought I’d place my $100 deposit, get in line, and wait my turn. After all, that’s what I teach my students. “Wait your turn, and you will get your fair share.”

I have purchased enough cars in my 53 years to know I don’t like the process, but this seemed different. We were told it was different. I was ignorant, and I believed them.

As a teacher in a very high poverty district, I don’t have money to waste, so I chose a discount price from a small town dealer in a neighboring state. I got burned by that. @Ford

I drive a 2005 F150 with 230,000 miles on it, so I can’t wait 6 years for my Bronco, so I believed @mrlevine when he said I could change my dealer. I started that process over 8 weeks ago, and I’m still waiting. I’m convinced I believed the wrong people - again.

Now I find myself thinking of ways to game the system or cut the line, because doing the things I ask my students to do has gotten me nothing but grief, frustration, and embarrassment.

I know some of you will laugh at me or blame me for being so gullible, and maybe you’re correct. This has certainly been a learning experience. I just wanted the truck I had dreamed about for 30 years. I did not expect lessons in patience, disappointment, and corporate misinformation.

Good luck to everyone in line in front of me and behind me. I suspect my students will be driving before I get a Bronco. Maybe I can get a ride from one of them to the dealer for the actual delivery. 🤔
Don't feel bad, but I do feel for you. We were all disappointed and to some level have had our trust betrayed. Fight back and do what you gotta do to help your situation but don't abandon your values if you can manage that. Stay positive and it will work out eventually.

I'm 48 years old and have to carpool with my wife since my mustang doesnt work too well when it snows. I'm so upset that I'm not even sure I'll keep my mustang any longer and if Ford doesnt fix this quickly, this will be the last Ford I will ever buy as well.
I sold my mustang to pay for this vehicle. BIG mistake, and i have been beating myself up for it. Should have instead went forward installing a Whipple and picking up a lightly used F150 as originally planned.

Totally understandable, you placed your faith in people and the people at a small dealer that seems to care about their customers.
There is nothing wrong with that.

You, I and many others forgot that in the end, we are dealing with a HUUUGE corporation that cares only about P.R.O.F.I.T.S and share prices .... end of story.

Just remember, your responsibility is to your family, their safety and this also includes the family budget.

You did your homework by getting a reservation, don't feel guilty for moving it around to take care of your family's needs.... or for abandoning Ford in order to take care of your family.

You can be sure @Ford Motor Company doesn't give a shit about your family. Their actions prove that.

My very first post was telling you to cancel your reservation and place another order. Unlike others telling you to talk to Ford - I have talked to Ford and know you can't easily switch it. You simply need to cancel your reservation (Which is useless) and place a new order with your dealer of choice.
I have also talked to Ford. Many, many times. They have said they will change it, but they haven’t. Are they lying to me again? If they are, isn’t the point of my original post even more valid?

When I called them after my first dealer snafu I was told to cancel my reservation and place another one with the dealer I wanted it to be with, so I did.

Maybe because they aren't taking reservations anymore they are willing to transfer the reservation but after waiting 8 weeks - is it really worth it?

It won’t be worth it much longer.

Right now this is the only Ranger I will consider buying unless Ford fixes the mess they created.

Buy a Ranger....it's a great truck.

Understand your frustration OP. It’s justified.

2.0 is gonna be interesting to watch when the exact same thing happens with the F150 Lightening reservations. Let’s see how that crowd handles the constant moving of goal posts and half time rule changes. Something tells me the outrage there will far exceed what we’ve seen with the Bronco fiasco.

Good luck on getting your rig and thanks for your contribution to our youth.

It does not bother me one bit. I am happy with my Bronco ordering process and can't wait for early February. I'm sorry you have not had the same experience.

Yes, I will get mine in early February as well. I'm just not sure what year it will be.

Idea.... don't cancel your current order, and place a new order at a dealership that can provide results you want. Let both orders stand until you get a VIN, then cancel the other order.
I have a similar build as you, but at a large Houston dealership, with Dec2020 reservation. And I have no clue when to expect my Bronco, except it will be 2022.

You're not being judged by anyone that matters. hang in there....
