Hello! I have a ‘25 BB + BD package. I have the Blacked out BB wheels as pictured below. It came with General Grabbers 265/70/17 and I want to upgrade to 285/70/17. I understand you can do this stock but I noticed all 285/70/17 tires are not created equal. Like for the KO3 and WildPeak A/T4W are 11.5” wide and either 32.8” tall or 33” tall. My question is, even with a 33x11.5” will those fit on the stock BB wheels without rubbing? Also, what is the offset of those wheels? Will 11.5” poke out? Any help is greatly appreciated!

The factory wheels are 17x7.5+55. 17" diameter, 7.5" wide, +55mm offset

Tire diameters are usually around half an inch undersized. "33s" are typically around 32.5 inches, "35s" are around 34.5 inches, "37s" are around 36.5 inches, etc. etc. This is also true for the American/imperial sizes. Most 33x11.50R17 will also be around 32.5 inches.

You can mount any of the 33s sizes without issues, so long as they are narrow enough to mount to your 7.5" wheel width. 34s (rare size) will be a little iffy, but if you remove crash bars shouldn't have any issues. 35s will mount with the crash bars removed, but that's when you'll really want to look at a lift.

---

EDIT— Oops, forgot to answer this:

Will 11.5” poke out?
Not in any meaningful way. Depending on the tread design it might poke a tiny bit, but definitely will not have that "poked" look that some people go for.

Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme 285/75 17 on my 2023 Black Diamond. This is the perfect size tire. The hankook is great. Smooth and quiet AT tire.

No lift and No rubbing. Love the way this size tire fills up the wheel well

Height with stock tires: front 36.5 rear 37.5 ground to fender lip. With new 285/75 17 front 37.5 rear 38.25 ground to fender lip

Wow that looks awesome! That’s almost a 34” so I’m surprised it fits without rubbing. Crash bars still in I take it? So even with that tire an E Load range it’s still relatively smooth on the road? Thanks!

Yes. Completely stock with crash bars no rub. The E rated tire is fine. Really couldn’t tell a difference from the stock generals. Didn’t change the ride. 5000 miles on it after the tire change. Adds some height to the truck and fills the wheel wells. I love the way it looks rides and drives. It really is the perfect tire size for the black diamond.

If you get the wider spare, I would suggest shortening the rubber bumpers at bottom behind the tire

This is helpful, thank you!

How did you shorten them? Can you purchase shorter bumpers? Thanks!

Shortened mine with bench sander. Hacksaw may work too.
