Watched a “Matt’s Off Road Recovery” video last night where they broke the steering knuckle/tie rod connection on their ”Morrvair” while trying to recover an electrically dead Jeep.
After removing the tie rod, they were actually successful in driving the recovery vehicle back out to a highway with steering only available on one front wheel, including loading it on to a trailer. It appears they accomplished this for a significant distance.
Probably didn’t do the tire any good, but in many cases it tracked back into alignment!
