Alright folks, I've got a problem. With this summer heat, my wolfbox has fallen off my windshield 3 times now. It's an aftermarket windshield that I got after a rock chip claimed my OEM one, unfortunately.
I keep using the Permatex High Strength rearview mirror adhesive kit (specifically the high strength one). Anybody else with this issue? Any remedy? I'm thinking about mounting it to my 1/4"-20 mount on the dashboard instead of the windshield. The only issue is I don't think it'll still work as a reflective mirror there.

Another idea I had was to increase the size of the puck by attaching the mirror's puck to a larger piece of aluminum and then attaching that to the windshield with the Permatex adhesive so there's more area grabbing onto the windshield. The stuff sticks great to the aluminum puck but separates from the windshield despite me cleaning with alcohol and, after the second time it fell off, even scuffing the black windshield material to try to give the adhesive something to grab onto.

Ideas and brainstorming are welcome! Thanks all!

I use the mirror replacement part that came with the kit I bought or the dash mount.

I also used the OEM kit, which just replaces the OEM mirror altogether and clamps to the factory mirror "button," as they call it, on the windshield. The issue is that the button keeps separating from the windshield on hot days, unfortunately.

Hang tight - I'll ask the R&D folks at work which of our adhesives will work best.

Vibratite / Cyberbond 1326 is a two part no mix acrylic that one of our chemists says is formulated for these applications and is great. PM with your address and I'll get a tube sent out as a "sample"
