Window tinting?

I know what the law says - 70% VLT on sides and nothing more than 4 inches across the top. But... how robustly is this enforced? 70% VLT is probably not worth the cost.

50% windshield and 5% sides/back in San Diego no issues so far

I am Limo tint on all my trucks and cars. I live in Long Beach CA and never have received a ticket for tint. Most police in our areas have their cruisers tinted as well.
