bronco honestly wouldn't be that much bigger as a full size based on the f150.....
Plus with a bigger bronco, how many suvs would they have? How would it cut into their prized pig the F150?

The market for a full size 2 door SUV is gone. The Full Size Bronco became the 4 door fully independent suspension Expedition because of market pressure. The K5 Blazer became the Tahoe for the same reason. The Ramcharger just disappeared.

The 4 door new Bronco will put a pretty big hit in the demand for a full size version.

I would say that there is a market for a full size 4 door off road capable SUV that can also tow a good size trailer while hauling gear for a full family. But getting one inside the price point that people are willing to pay is going to be tough. Especially when the Ranger can do that already.

I’ve owned 3 full size Broncos over the years, and the tops are not really “removable” in the conventional sense. They required numerous bolts to be removed, and once removed you had some very ugly bare metal that showed.
My dad had a '78, '86, &'95 Bronco when I was growing up. I have not had one, but did own an '82 K5...Arguably the same thing...and arguably not. My old K5 had the "family bar in the rear" Made it a real pain in the butt to remove the top. Right now I have a '18 Wrangler....so if I wind up actually ever getting the Bronco, it will kind of be a Ford Wrangler.

I've never had the tops leak on any of my FSBs. and I take the tops off as often as possible.
I was told at the time, (not to say that just because people say that it was a problem, that it actually was a problem) that if you had, say an ‘88-and removed the top several years after it was manufactured, then put it back on a year or so later, depending on how you stored it, that the rubber seal may degrade in the interim, especially in the Southern California sun. To the point that the seal may no longer be viable. No?

I drove an ‘88 for many years-but I never took the rear shell off, so I have no empirical evidence. Therefore, I defer to your experience.

I've always wanted a full size Bronco with a V8 and a removable top. Has anyone heard anything about making a bid Bronco again? I'd only want it if it has a removable top.
I always considered Gen 2-5 an F-150 with a topper anyway. Maybe they can call it an F series bronco...

Or build a bronco from the super duty. any of this would be 6 years out. But government rules may not let any of this happen.

I think Ford wants to. Last, last year they had a marketing strategy layout board at a meeting that was leaked. It had a potential "full size offroader" outside of the F150 chart so not a raptor. I hope it happens. 5 seater, 2 door maybe reverse hinged rear doors, 7000+ towing, V6 and V8, and atleast some removable top panels, and long enough inside to sleep. Would be wonderful, and I think very interesting to enthusiasts I see no reason why they could sell atleast the same amount as raptors that they sell.

Your kidding right. This Bronco is nowhere near mistakable for a full size.

I would have to say if you are taking the top off long term, especially somewhere hot and arid, or where the top will be outside exposed to UV, that you would want to oil the rubber seal periodically, but that goes for any type of rubber seals in those cases.

God I hope not. Flaming garbage if they build the Bronco on a F150 platform.

No official word I know of, but I could see it 5+ years down the road. And I also think you'll be paying for it too. Think F-150 money.
F150 money? I just configured a badlands bronco that cost more than and xlt f150 and only 4 grand less that a lariet f150 I configured. Also the bronco is 20k more than my 2015 f150. So we’re already into “f150 money”

Just because a market and consumer demand exists out there..... don't count on Ford to address it. How are they doing these days in the conventional mid- and full-size four-door sedan market?
