Screw that - no āshameā in any Bronco in my opinion - even the Sport if thatās your thing!! I was close on the OBX myself because I actually liked the roast / black color scheme. The extra GOAT mode (for what itās worth?) and slightly smaller price tag (still barely under 60k) kept me in the Wildtrak (I also prefer the black accents).Similar thoughts, except for a few deviations on my build (an OBX). I wanted the lightest, quickest, Bronco configuration that would make my weekly 12 hour round trip easier for me than making the trip in my 2011 F-150 with washout floors, manual windows, locks, and mirrors.
So I ended up with an OBX 2D 2.7 with lux and tow. I am thrilled with the cloth seats (which are super comfortable and won't burn me in the Texas heat in the summer) and nicely carpeted floors which are great for driving in bare feet. The adaptive cruise control is awesome for long distance. I can quickly swap out the highway tires for my 33.5" mud-terrain tires. It is a compromise in that it's not the ultimate off-roader, but I don't feel like I am terribly limited by the lack of a front locker or SBD, especially with 33.5" tires.
I also paid under $50k. So ya, I am happy and living with the shame of not having a Badlands, WildTrak, or First Edition... LOL, owning an OBX, it's almost as bad as Herpes.
I agree that the cloth seats are nice - the mannequin I had for the weekend last summer has them and they were excellent - but I wanted power and I could only get power with leather ⦠which I do really like. Congrats to you!!! Enjoy!
