I just can’t bring myself to do that. I’ve been looking forward to this thing for nearly three years. I can’t voluntarily drop my order. Just can’t… even if it might be the smart thing to do.
That’s what I thought, but some dealers don’t offer loaners and the ones that offer can run out of loaners. Then you are stuck without a car for who knows how long. I’m leasing a jeep and the dealer close to my house said go to enterprise, they don’t do any loaners. The dealer I got it from is a little far away and provides loaners but didn’t have any loaners available but luckily one guy just returned a loner while I was waiting and I was able to take it. It’s much better to have a reliable car than to deal with warranty and stuff and waiting 128 minutes or more
You're taking a lot of crap for this thread, but I think you are right on. We just learned that the 2021-2022 MIC top is going to be a fragile long term headache and not the carefree durable offroad utility top we were previously believing it to be.
Considering that I might be waiting 32 months for it I sure hope I will!
From your post it is obvious you have very little confidence that Ford will get the Mic Top issue resolved in a high quality manner. I do not believe you are familiar with Ford Trucks and their reputation of being one of the most durable, most capable, and most advanced purposed built vehicles on the market. When Ford Builds a Truck their reputation is on the line and Ford places a high value on their reputation to build high quality trucks that are more capable than all its competitors. From all the research, videos, testing and reviews done by Ford and others the Bronco will live up to the Ford " Built Tough " motto. From what I have seen, heard and read the Bronco surpasses the competition in almost ALL areas that are considered important in a OFF Roader and its pretty good on the road too. I have confidence that Ford will get the MIC Top right based on my experience with multiple Ford Truck products and actual History of Ford producing High quality Trucks year after year. I have Confidence that the Bronco will exceed my expectations and I can't wait to get off road.
Point 3 directly relates to my situation except April for me. I kicked the can down the road early on with an Oct 1st Granger reservation. My thought was due to giving me more time to financially afford this vehicle and pushing the purchase date out. It really had nothing to do with the vehicle itself for me, but more the budget for my household. MY22 just fits my situation better and I have locked in MY21 pricing.
I wouldn’t say equally, Jeep hard top build quality is better and their rear soft top windows don’t wave at other drivers. But they may veer off the road at any given moment so maybe equally is rightCorrect me if Im wrong but Jeep has been around for quite a while and seems to have its fair share of issues…….while I don’t want to be naive to the clear possibility the bronco first years will have problems, the other option in this particular segment of vehicles seems to be at least equally risky
