These kind of threads always make me laugh, now the OP asked an honest question for what he was seeing in his area. Everyone that doesn't own a WT jumps on board with all kinds of theories from the MPG to the color of the interior and the few of us with WT's of course defend why we like our choice. The guy with the Rivian really made me laugh because he was all gloom and doom, our Broncos won't be worth squat in a couple of years.
I decided to check my area (Raleigh/Cary, NC) in a 100 mile radius on Cargurus and Autotrader to see how true this is.

Cargurus:
19 Badlands
6 Black Diamonds
2 First Editions
2 Heritage Editions
34 OBX
21 WildTrak
5 Base
3 Everglades

AutoTrader:
12 Wildtrak
18 Badlands
2 Black Diamonds
19 Big Bend
3 First Editions
3 Heritage Editions
30 OBX
2 Everglades
3 Base

OBX was far and away the most but it's probably one of the biggest sellers too. I would agree that inflation and interest rates have probably hurt the higher end Broncos but there can be all kinds of reason why people trade or sell their vehicles. But MGP, really? First no one buys a Bronco with any expectation of MPG, just look at the sticker. My '21 2.3 OBX got maybe 20 MPG, my '23 2.7 WT gets about 18 MPG, not much of a difference all things considered. The thing I find surprising at least in my area is the number of manual transmissions for sale. I don't know what the percentage of takes on the MT are but it seems like a high percentage on the used market.

Have you driven a Bronco in snow, against say an Audi that does 0 - 60 in 3 or 4 seconds and has studded Nokians?

I suspect you're talking to an audience of one - yourself.

i mean looking back. I should’ve known it would be probably more geographically dependent than anything… but yea… kind of a downward spiral from the beginning 🤣

I'm seeing many used Broncos finally being listed for $3-5K under original MSRP. This wasn't true 6 months ago.

I'm also seeing MANY new Broncos sitting on the lot. For ones at MSRP they take a week or two to sell. For those with markup they can sit for 3+ months or more (like my abandoned order).
Why do people keep bitching about the cost of a bronco? All the cars our there are overpriced. Don't pay it...if you want a lux vehicle buy one...

If you don't think fuel economy and the economy have an impact on trading cars in, you didn't live through the 70s.

regular fuel is $6.19 in Orange County, CA. I did not even think about MPG, why would I, it's on the window sticker.

My totally unfounded speculation is that people ordered a Wildtrak as a high end luxury, awesome offroader to be used as daily driver.
EX: a cooler looking Grand Cherokee Limited.

Most people ordered them without ever seeing one in person or test driving one.

When they finally got it they found out it really lacks in the luxury aspect.
Cheap plastics, rough ride (compared to what the expected) and loud (tire and wind noise).
Exactly this.

Look at B6G here, look at all the Wildtrack buyers who say they traded in their Hellcat Jailbreak on a Wildtrack. It’s just the latest bling. If they were an actual off-roader they would have bought a Base and put Dana 60’s in it.

Not sure why people are bitching about the luxuriousness of the interior-its a freaking off road vehicle for crying out loud..
The interior is easilly as nice as my old Mustang (actually reminds me a lot of the 'Stang), and nicer than the Expedition I was driving while waiting for Ford to build my Bronco.

Other than the dumpster fire of a dash-board, it's as nice or nicer than the wife's F-150.

That makes total sense. Most people seem to purchase a Bronco as a fashion accessory - they live in an urban or suburban environment and want to project an image. In reality, they’d be better served by a family oriented SUV or minivan.
To be honest, I have no idea what type of "image" a Bronco projects.

I see all types of people in Broncos. Hell, I bought mine because the Second Gen Bronco was the first car I drove as a teen.

I guess if the image is an early 80's teen rocking out to Van Halen, I've succeeded!

I ordered my WT without ever seeing one, only test drove a 2D OBX. And now I really like my WT. It's a damn Ford so I never expected anything remotely close to "luxury". I beat the hell of it in a 30 mile offroad trail the second day I took delivery with only 20 miles on it and it was a ton of fun.
Somehow Ford gave me a rebate so I got it almost 4K under MSRP, so I can't complain. Going to continue to beat it up in trails and have fun.

Ordered my first one without even seeing one in person, then ordered my second one before my first one arrived. Stupid happy with both of them. I expected a comfortable seat, but nowhere near as comfortable as I got. I expected a perky V-6, and got almost as much punch as my first gen 3.5 ecoboost F-150. I expected some tech, but got so much more than I expected. The only huge disappointment was the sound system.

It's my daily driver, and yes, I take it off-road.

The car probably had a high satisfaction rating. People probably bought it and realized they couldn’t afford it after the first few months of payments. My own car is due to the fact someone order badlands nonsas lux and couldn’t afford it once the monthly payment numbers were run according to my salesman. I love the car. Wouldn’t trade it for anything else except maybe a Toyota Land Cruiser. I think the time to buy a used Bronco will be 2024 when the Toyota LC comes out bc I don’t see any other competition.
