Not sure what I missing but I have a 22 OBX SAS. I’ve added an onboard ARB compressor, and a winch. Manual sway bar disconnect should be delivered any day. I wheel with a guy in a JT Rubicon. I have no issues doing what he does and I lead most of the time. Minus a GOAT mode or 2 (that I wouldn’t use anyways, and rubber floors) what does a Badlands offer that my OBX doesn’t?

Looked at photos you guys posting. Bmw, Tesla 3 vs Bronco in wrecks Got the Obx so 16 year old can enjoy an open top safe car driving her siblings and friends around in California. It’ll stay on road and just go to Tahoe in snow. Obx specifically because it retained the crash bars, 360 degree camera, and the puddle lights, big screen Got the VB and coffee leather. It’s a cream puff!! We’ve had zero issues with the softop. She takes it down herself. Only needs my help to put the side windows back on and they are easier to put back on for some reason so maybe she can next time. Had it 9 months now. No regrets.

I would imagine it's missing the same stuff as my Base Sas is missing; skid plates, sliders ($100 for take-offs), a metal rear bumper (looks like plastic anyways), and washout seats. But then with the money I saved going Base, I figured I could get better off-roading stuff.

Except for the Steelies, the Outer Banks’ wheels are the best looking wheels of all Ford’s OE choices especially if you want to run a tire closer to pizza cutters. It was a cheap and easy upgrade until I find a decent set of good looking vintage/throwback wheels at the right price

When I upgrade the Bronco wheels, I’ll probably use the OBX wheels on a used Ranger XL that I have my eye on.

It’s pretty much like with a Jeep, with the right driving experience, I would venture to say pretty much every model is quite off road worthy. Lockers are a bonus but I’ve seen Jeeps without lockers do some pretty hard core off roading.

To be honest, I'm not sure why people selling takeoffs haven't targeted the Ranger forums/marketplace. I would think every Ranger Lariat owner would be throwing money at OBX takeoffs. The Bridgestone Dueler is a darn good tire (just not suited for offroad). Ranger owners can't be hot for Hankook.

I had no idea the Badlands platform was so popular. It speaks well for humanity...

I don't know if highly popular is the right word. I'd say more common than more popular. Non-SAS OBX's were one of the few trims that were being built in decent numbers late 21 and last year. WT was/is wroght with constraints. Most BL's are SAS which was a major constraint for awhile. Plus it was the cheapest model to get a 12" screen so a lot of people went that route. ALL of course is just my opinion.

Theres about 10 people on here that actually hard core off road.

Threads on this forum are more about the turn signal volume and tiny rattles than anything regarding actual off roading.

So many posers on here talking about the “capability” of their rigs it’s hilarious.

You know who you are. 😁
