And that's fine. But I don't get messages like these. Should we not complain when consumers are getting bent over backward, trying to get the best Bronco for them? If you are happy, and love your options - good for you. I'm sincerely happy for you. But not everyone has 50+ k to spend on a truck. Complaining is a good thing. Just like competition is a good thing. Bringing value to your customers is a good thing. It makes products better.

How are you getting screwed? I am spending $37.5k and I couldn't be more thrilled. Would I "want" more, maybe. Am I mad that Ford wants to charge me more for those items, of course not.

I just don't think your complaints are valid. There are nearly 14 different trim configurations you can get, a multitude of options for each trim, and plenty of opportunity to find something that suits your needs. I just don't know how much more you think Ford should do for this production vehicle.

Other manufactures offer drivetrain options on mid to higher end trims, so no difference.

And I just can't get upset about decorative lighting. Sorry, I don't get it.

I'm going to answer my own question - it's all about the Benjamins - but seriously, it annoys me.

As for what I need in a bronco:

• I need the 4-door for family - that is my truly only basic need.

As for what I want:

• I want black MGV seats that are easy to maintain
• I want the 2.7L / 10speed
• I want the LT285/70R17 All-Terrain A/T Tires 33s with the 17" Black High Gloss-Painted Aluminum Wheels (Can only get it on the BLs)
• I want the high-package (can only get on the BL, OBX, and WT)
  • The OBX Interior is atrocious
  • The WT is too expensive and I'm not a fan of the hood graphic
  • And when you start adding the things I do want to the BL, the price becomes higher than a WT, which has SAS.
• I want the steel heavy-duty bumpers (extra)
• I want the signature LED lights (can't get it on the BD for some dumb reason)
• I want the rock rails (extra)
• I want the 12-inch touch screen (see above - have to get the high-package, which is only available on OBX, BL, WT, and FE).
• I want sport mode

I don't need:

• SAS
• Sway-bar disconnect

At this point, I'm debating just getting a base or BB, and doing all this aftermarket stuff myself, later. I guess I won't (At least not cheaply) be able to get the 12-inch screen, but other than that, maybe I can actually get the Bronco I want.

Just annoyed at the options. I just can't justify spending over 50k on a BL at the moment. And yes, I know I am whining, but I just feel like there is a lack of options here, so Ford can make more money. Frustrating. (Just venting, sorry).

Yea basically what they’re telling me on my build is that if I buy a Black Diamond, with options I choose (a mid package goes straight auto transmission) to keep it at bay $40k that headlights, 4.7 locking rear, mid package with rear consol outlets costs me $10k more which is the options of a bad lands? Give me a break. That’s a straight fucking

I don’t need auto on demand engagement. I don’t need rims.( I’ll be changing those any way)
Just a 2.3l to 7spd with hard top sound deadened, led head lamps, ( I don’t even need 4.7 locking rear) mid package with rear console outlet. That I can’t get it? Ridiculous. But it’s always packages. Needs to go back to how it was. A checklist of the options you want. All vehicles can handle the option as added. Why not allow it? Bundles don’t save you money. They force to spend MORE to get what you want. And have a lot of what you don’t want.

I think the there is a problem and it is that while there actually is a pretty linear and understandable progression as far as the mechanical bits go as different models have that covered with the existing options, the difficulty is that the cosmetic stuff (interiors specifically) are very polarizing and almost exclusively locked to a single mechanical trim that is limited by comparison to the entire line. It means most people have to choose between what they think looks good and the mechanical stuff they want. If they had a neutral interior as an option across all the models, most of the anguish and complaints would disappear. Ford promised neutral accents and interior seat colors would be available, but that quietly disappeared since it was stated. Sasquatch and the GOAT modes were obviously designed around the 4A, see slippery mode... So that is just the way it is. Like locking the manual to the 2.3

More about confidence in what I choose. I've bought first year vehicles before, but with this one, there's too many configurations and too much is up in the air. I need more real world reviews. I'm letting the confident 2021 buyers figure it all out for me.

Hopefully all the really confident people aren’t blind sided when their color of choice is dropped for 2022 or the price goes up like after the first year of the new Vette...

I'm not worried about a price hike. They may do it, but I can't see it being that substantial. They are already pricing these higher trims near luxury car category. And I highly doubt they will drop many of the colors, but okay by me if they do.

If you found the perfect Bronco for you at a the price you can easily afford, props to you.

But I feel I see more funky shit going on with Ford right now than what I’d typically see from companies like Apple. It’s not just the pretty lights.

But I feel I see more funky shit going on with Ford right now than what I’d typically see from companies like Apple. It’s not just the pretty lights.

They’re your typical service company. Offer a product with “packages.” Each package give you more while give you more of what you DONT want. So you want barebones with a few upgrades? Can’t get it. What should cost you about $42k tops now forces you $50k for shit you don’t need. Just to get what you want for $42k.

I backed all the way down to a base Base for the time being.
No ManSquatch until you hit Badlands.
No ManMid until you hit Badlands.

With a manual, the standout feature of Mid is the heated seats. I can do that far cheaper than the $8000 it was going to cost me for a Big Bend. Like $300...so what if it ends up being $1000 , I'm still $7k ahead.
I can do 32.8" tires for around $1000k or new wheels and tires for $2500-ish.

So , 33k for my BaseMan (bumpers, headliner, liners, rails etc etc etc) and another $3k for heated seats and new rims and tires.
I'll have the rig I want at that point.....$36k ....money left over to play with in the aftermarket.

FWIW , adding Squatch is a $7600 affair above the manual Base, not the $5k many would like to believe. and you lose the manual ...until 2022.

Base to BB = $5k
Forced auto = $1500
Mid................. = $1500
Total = $8k
