Who's a 7/19 build?

Anyone find it strange to see Roof Racks on some of these Broncos?

My assumption was these were added at the Accessory Shop and not on the assembly line.

If these had Bad MICs, why did they then have Roof Racks installed, only to have them taken off again before a roof replacement can happen.

To me this points to an issue other than MICs such as Chip Shortages.

Thoughts?

My soft top sits, too. Gotta be something else... But we just have to make stuff up.

I think the FE is the pucker factor at Ford. I would put money on Ford realizing they need to get the FE's out pronto and the rest after that. With the prior Ford comment sounding like the rest of the year will be soft top only or the overwhelming vast majority that will have the option for a hard top plumbing kit leaves me to think us MIC Misfits will be addressed AFTER FE production is complete.

My question would be how many FE's have been built and delivered? So 7k total...we know there are some in the wild with TFL having one for example. Was it 10% FE's built or 40%.

Either way I think us MIC Misfits are in for a wait until late Sept. maybe further. I have no faith in whatever process was or is in use at this point. Covid is a valid excuse for some of this but I think Ford needs to do a deep dive re-org evaluation at damn near every level with a very open mind. If ONLY to address supply chain lessons learned not to mention the desired move to order based vs inventory based production.

I have a sinking feeling you are 100% correct. I'm glad they're going to focus on the FE's, I just hope that doesn't completely exclude the misfits while that is happening.

Congrats @BroncoJay! I think this is yet another confirmation MICs are the bigger challenge than Chips. His got bumped from 7/23 to 8/2 and still shipped before 75% off those built during 7/19 week.
