I think a stripped-down, 2-door, 2.3 base manual on steelies and small tires actually looks cool as hell.

Someone on here described it as having an old school Land Rover 110 vibe, from when they were basic British farm/utility vehicles.

Considering the base 2-door is coming in at a price that's comparable to a decently optioned Subaru Forester or other AWD 'cute ute', it makes a lot of sense for someone wanting a vehicle of that size but needs 'real' 4WD.

I've been all over, but I honestly think I've moved to the base 2D. Rapid Red, V6 Auto, Roof Rails, Bumper, Brush Guard, Switches, Floor Mats (cheaper than weathertech). Get the hardtop painted white, tint the glass and I'll swap the wheels out right away for 33" and thinking Black Rhino Armory wheels for it.
If you are interested in the modular bumper, bash plates, switches, and tinted glass, see how a Black Diamond stacks up on price for you. I was surprised and switched to it.

I’m getting a base 2 door with the manual transmission. The only option I intend on adding are the auxiliary switches.
Wish Ford offered an option for different wheels on the base but I’ll look to go aftermarket or find a used set off a higher model on marketplace.
On Bronco Dealer Accessory List there's this item M2DZ-1K007-A Ranger Bronco Channel Wheels Kit of 5 $1299. I did a search for it and they are Raptor Style Wheels with 285/70R-17 tires. They were a little less on the site I found. Like $50 more for TPMS Sensors.

Just a word of warning, you probably won't be able to paint the MIC roof white. Raptorlining or line-x ultra are your options, and only if they can get it to coat properly with the texturing.

Many people could not find a single shop that will paint the roof due to the sanding and priming process being iffy. I was quoted $3K with no warranty or guarantee. Plus O know the guy and his shop, he warned it would most likely peel or be a 1-2 year job.....

You are right. Every time I price out a 4 door Black Diamond, I add all kind of options. When you price the BD only with same options as Base they are close in price. Especially if you added in the cost new wheels/tires/tint to the base.

The painted 16" steelies are one of those most polarizing things on this forum, but I'm in the camp that thinks Base bros are getting the coolest looking factory wheels by far.

If I can flip/trade/figure out how to get a set of those with an appropriate ~33" tire (285 75/16 should work) on my Man-lands (inexpensively or without paying anything), I'm doing it.

Can't get the manual with the four-door, so the base is out for me. And now that the less-is-more concept is out for me, I said screw it and decided to spec it out fairly loaded.

yep, I'm getting the 2dr base with manual transmission. Only adding the roof rack, headliner and aux switches. Maybe the floor liners and modular bumper, but still thinking about that. Gonna add larger tires after I take delivery and call it a day.
That’s me right there. Base has everything I need.

The difference of $6,295 makes choosing the Base 2dr over the Base 4dr pretty attractive.

It’s weird how the difference between the Base 2 and 4 dr is so much more than the difference between other trim-line’s 2 and 4dr offerings.

The difference of only $1,085 between Base 4dr vs Big Bend 4dr makes the Big Bend pretty attractive.

If I get the base I’ll probably only choose the 2 door.
4 dr- I’d go Big Bend.

My concern is that I’d want bigger tires on the base and how that would affect performance regarding gearing and speedometer reading.

Getting aftermarket wheels and lift installed is a bit of a headache and can have some warrantee implications.

Yes! I am a total Bronco guy. I bought one of the last 5G Broncos to come off the line, and wanted one of the 1st 6G to park next to it in the barn. My FE will have all of the late availability/delayed production options - so I fall back to my day 3 base reservation. I'm ordering it basey basic base of base. If the headliner insulation and block heater don't delay production I will add those.

I was originally an OBX four door reservation, but I'm ordering a 2 door base with the squatch...

2 door over 4 door...rarely have more than one passenger, fold the back seats down for the pup, and has a more of the classic bronco look than the four door

Squatch over steelies...I was really back and forth with this, but I hate the steelies. They make me think of the wheels on my 98 escort. I thought about just replacing them with a new set after purchase, but as most experienced car people know you dont just throw on a new set of wheels without proper tuning. Rather get a set I like with all the other bonus features of a squatch, and having it all covered under warranty.

Creature features...honestly, only feature I need is bluetooth for my phone and music and the rear view camera. I cant justify the extra thousands of dollars for things like leather seats, upgraded audio, bigger touch screen, fog lights, heated seats, etc of higher models that have the same engine, suspension, and other mechanical features.

So end build is 2 door oxford white squatch, hardtop plus extra sound dampening, roof rack, steel number, brush guard, aux and floor mats about 39k. Best bang for your buck I think
