Me: nah that’s the Sport, mine isn’t in production yet
Friend: “Huh?”
Me: think Cherokee vs Wrangler, I’m waiting for the big brother still
Friend: “Wait what? Really? Looks burlier than that. I didn’t realize there were multiple versions coming out. Hmm”
Me: competes more directly with the compass actually, but yeah, for capability, think cherokee
Friend: “woah, can’t wait for the big one to come”

Why would anyone reply its the "Baby Bronco". Its not, its the Bronco Sport. Its a nice rig, and anyone who gets one, has made a nice purchase.
I mean if our ego as hopeful Bronco owners is this fragile, we got way more problems than waiting to get ours.
Except for Rock crawlers, hell maybe all the Bronco Sport buyers have purchased a better rig for most of their or possibly our driving.
I think the Bronco will be cool as hell, but I dont think it makes me any more cool than the Bronco Sport.
Sorry, double knee surgery has made me cranky and this whole thread just hit me wrong.

Yes I get that. A couple people have said " I see the broncos are out, where is yours?" No THEY ARE NOT OUT I want to say. I just say thats the Baby Bronco I'm waiting for the real thing another 6 months (I hope)Lol - I had a similar exchange with my brother-in-law.

Bronco Sport is the coolest vehicle in its class by far. Not the class I'm interested in. Ford is turning Bronco into a division , as it were. When the Warthog comes out, it'll be part of the division. May be more models to come. All good for me. Anybody have a line on where to buy a train car of popcorn while this plays out?...

I have my Bronco ordered and due this summer.
Just like they guys on the Mustang6g forum bitching about the Mustang Mach E is not a Mustang.
Ford says it's a Mustang, so guess what, it's a Mustang.
I get the Bronco Sport is a completely different vehicle compared to the Bronco, but when both vehicles have Bronco in the name, not sure I would get too wrapped around the axels about the confusion. Remember the general public are a bunch uniformed dummies.
Not sure where the animosity comes from other than people wanting to know why you don't have yours yet because they are out.
Calling the Bronco Sport a Bronco is like calling a Mustang Ecoboost, a Mach E, and a Shelby GT500 all Mustangs I suppose???? Wait they are all mustangs.

I wanted a probe back in the day. Instead I got a 1989 notch back LX Mustang 4 banger.What makes it all worse was that they offered it in brown.
I look at "Baby Bronco" as an endearment. I'm hoping to buy one as my daily driver some day as a baby brother to my 2-door. Ford even put a four-legged baby bronco in the Bronco Sport commercial.
The Jeep guys at work swear up and down the Sport is the Bronco and that the big Bronco is vaporware
