What winch with ARB Summit bumper?

I ordered a Smittybilt X20 Gen3 a month ago. Called today and still no updated ETA. So looking for other options. The ARB website lists under compatibility 3 Warn winches and the one smittybilt winch. All 10K winches. I saw that Maine overland put a Come Up winch in theirs. For those of you that have this bumper what did you put in it? Am I really stuck with using a 10K winch or can I stick a 12K in there? I have had the bumper and lights sitting for weeks and want to get everything put in but don't want to settle for the cheapest Warn if there is a better option. TIA

If the bumper is capable of fitting a Warn Zeon 10-S in it, then you can fit pretty much anything in there as the Zeon series winches are some of the largest on the market.

On our Bronco, I did a Superwinch SX 12K winch with the synthetic rope and I was very pleased with it.

The biggest thing to check would be dimensions.

And just for grins, here's the Superwinch SX12SR Winch:

Based on the design and dimensions, the Superwinch 12K SR would fit with room to spare and you'd be able to get the full 12K capacity that you're after.

I've got the 12k KO2 in my summit, fits fine the spool in spool out is a bit hard to see, but not hard to reach, I'd say that'd be your biggest hurdle is the engaging disengage being seen plenty of room for any winch with a center based solenoid..

Quick question, does the winch block the intercooler at all? I have tried to research and get pics to see, but to no avail. Thx!

I have a 3" body lift, so mine is different than stock. I will get you a picture of mine after I get home. Of course there is no way to build a sturdy winch bumper without some restriction. I believe the ARB is the best compromise. The front is open where the plastic grill is reducing restriction of air flow.

So it is hard to get a good picture. There is more space below my radiator and the top of the intercooler because of the body lift.
First picture is the holes they have in the bottom. Next I tried to get a birds eye view. Honestly the winch blocks more than anything.

The next two are of where air flows by the fairlead and the grills.

Okay, so there are air holes on each side of the fairlead? Correct? Like in the last picture?

BTW...sorry for the questions, but that bumper is fairly expensive. It's one of those buy once, cry once situations. Unfortunately, I can't afford to cry twice. and again thank you.

There are some less expensive options out now. The summit gives the Bronco a more nostalgic feel IMHO. Reminds me of the 80s and 90s stuff I used to see growing up. Once again, thank you. The pictures are much appreciated.

Also, I reached out to ARB USA (they have pretty responsive CS), their reply was they state 10k because that’s the highest they tested it to. The Warn Zeon 12k and 10k are the same size physically.
