4. Aux Switches (will wire up so my interior lights can be controlled individually when the car is off), plus a switch for the air compressor.
5. Roof Rack with canoe straps. Will love the tie downs in the front. I am literally buying a canoe to be able to use those tie downs, but I expect to use it often, just to go to the lake 20 miles away.

My build will cost $31,969. I guess it will be $31,669 if I use my FordPass points and some of this can be classified as "accessories".

After I get it, I will buy a second set of 32s or 33s and swap them out 2x/year ("Daily driving season" v. bigger tires for "offload season"). Maybe I paint the steel wheels black or even dark blue?

I'm building similar to your build. One thing everyone should consider regarding swapping tires on the base (or any model) is the weight of the upgraded tire. I'm looking at BFG K02s in 2 sizes, LT235/85 R16 and LT265/75 R16. The 235s weigh 48 Lbs; the 265s weigh 53 Lbs. The stock tires weigh 37 Lbs. While that looks like a significant weight increase, I looked at the tires on the BD (26570 R17). Those are not E load range - they are SL. Those weigh 44 Lbs. I'm thinking the BD axles and base axles, brakes, etc are the same. The 17" wheels on the BD weigh about 6 Lbs more than the 16" base wheels. The tire weight gain of the KO2s shouldn't matter given the BD tire/wheel combination is pretty close. I understand going to a E load range tire will give a stiffer ride, but that's something I'm willing to accept for the slightly larger and better A/T tires over a passenger all season tire. My concern was to not add additional unsprung weight. Let me know if I'm missing something here.

Other trims keep "trying" to tempt me but the BD-2.7-Mid-Tow-Squatch pulls me back for value (of a boatload that I will NEVER USE). The WT is trying but for the $40-50 not having rock rails to cover that weld and then needing to get floor liners - meh.

I have not veered from my original want....2 dr Black Diamond, with a trailer hitch and mid pack, cactus grey. My top budget is 40k not a cent more. Before they tacked on mandatory auto I was just under. Now I have a difficult choice of dropping the mid pack, going to the big bend (which the rubber floors were the #1 selling point for me, so probably won’t) or getting a different vehicle. Sooo, I am 90% if I am driving one soon it’ll be at least a cactus grey BD 2dr
