I don't really see the rush with ordering. Order banks are supposed to open January 19th to begin converting reservations to orders. The last day for reservation holders to convert to an order is March 19th. Ford will then sort and prioritize orders (based on original reservation date/production probability, and dealer allocation) and get back with dealers/customers mid May to provide customers an estimate delivery date. Current reservation holders have two chances to change their reservation PRIOR to converting to an order. Production is supposed to begin May 3rd. So with that said, doesn't really seem to matter when you convert your reservation between January 19th and March 19th. I am sure dates are subject to change somewhat but that is last I heard.

Well that's kind of expected. There isn't any rush since the deadline isn't until March. I'm personally waiting until late Feb to see if Ford changes anything. Which we all know they will.

I agree, I think some dealers will get competitive and up their offers as it gets closer to the deadline. I'd be real hesitant to commit to early if you are not getting a good deal. For all the complaining we have done about the process at least Ford gave us the reservation power, meaning we can switch dealers and not be held hostage to pay ADM or whatever else the dealer wants to tack on. I'm on the F150 forum and some folks are literally paying MSRP minus rebates. Im like WTF, there are several sponsor dealers who will go invoice or below... People get nuts sometimes.

Option to switch dealers AFTER placing your order is news to me...do you have a source for this???
