I’ve just been thinking about another paranoid compulsive thought to worry about: avoiding the totaling of your Bronco, because it may take SEVERAL years to take delivery of a custom-ordered replacement based on the current backlog.

It will inevitably happen, but the question is... will it be you?

I’ve actually seen this situation on the Tesla forums after the M3 and MY launch, because there were similar issues being able to get your hands on a replacement due to demand. In some cases it seemed Tesla made exceptions to get these customers back behind the wheel, maybe because the added PR around crash safety. Wonder if Ford would do the same!

I was just thinking about how fun it would be to destroy a brand new car I've waited for for years but you changed my mind. Thank you for your wise advice :ROFLMAO:

Great advice, also obtaining replacement parts for a little fender bender may take some time since the parts distribution center may not have a robust inventory yet.

Dude. Why jinx the forum on something so obvious?

Totaling a car is often something out of your control unless you're the one at fault. I'm more concerned about the health of the driver in these situations. In 5 years the Bronco will be literally everywhere, so just enjoy it and don't feed into the fear and paranoia, we've got enough of both in this country already and don't need to pile on more to trigger everyone's anxiety.

Not cool. :cautious:

Do like the YouTube guy who jumped his TRX and just buy another with dealer markup.

Not sure how manufacturers handle this, but Ford h as been around for a while, I'd think they have some plan for this case? Hopefully there won't be hundreds of totaled Broncos in the first year, but it should be possible to squeeze one or the other replacement truck into the production line.

But I won't let anyone drive my Bronco for a while, my wife won't care to anyway, my son can continue to drive my Taco.
And I'll be paying more attention to where I park, which I don't with the 18 year old Taco.

Then it's just hoping other idiots don't run into me.

In high school my brother hit a tree with my mother's new Civic -- it was a first year model. Took 4 months for replacement parts. Mom wasn't happy, but it sure made me look good by comparison to him.

Along the same lines... Don't get your dick caught in a zipper and don't slam your finger in a door.

Not sure what kind of advice this is. Typically, people don't buy a vehicle with a plan to total it. But shit happens.
