With an October Granger reservation and an ‘05 Xterra with 225k miles (that needs new front cats, a left side airbag sensor and is occasionally locking its rear axle uncommanded) I picked up this ‘19 GTI SE 6M to tide me through and let Hunter know I am waiting until ‘23. I will switch to a dual top option and hopefully Ford will have unscrewed the hard tops. I’d rather wait and stick with @Zach@Granger than pay extra. We already had a ‘17 Golf Alltrack and the GTI is more awesome.

In the meantime if I want to venture off-road I still have my HPN BMW G/S. Not giving up, just waiting for a fair deal.

Why not just wheel the xterra. It sounds like the perfect rig to beat up on the trails.

Space issues. Otherwise I would. The Xterra has been awesome.

Also, I like “wheeling” better with just two wheels.

With 1000 reservations, 2023 may be a few years optimistic. Btw, I'm a Grangtober reservation holder too and not planning on anything earlier than 2024 if I'm lucky.
