I went a step further. There’s a thread on here about scriptable widgets. I followed the instructions to create Siri shortcuts to do everything the ford pass app does. Now I don’t even need to open the app, just say, “Hey Siri, unlock my car,“ or “start my car.”

I had tried creating similar shortcuts on my own before I saw that thread. I got frustrated and gave up. I wasn’t even close.

You haven't seen the remote listening dishes that can also broadcast through your living room window and talk ro Alexa, Siri, Basil ? Guess you never have left your phone anywhere either.

The chip inside the keyfob still needs to be inside vehicle to drive it away. Smaller would be better, or a universal fob that would work all vehicles in the household

Or are all ypu millennial up for a device implant in your brain, ala Borg, you will be assimilated

This always amuses me cause with a manual car with a manual handbrake (granted Bronco doesn’t have one) if you have a way of towing it and want to steal it you can just pop it into neutral and rollll it on away.

Don’t say “ok boomer!” -people who put these stickers on their cars

With a rollback and a winch who cares if it is gear with brake on, winch beats brakes like paper covers rock

I tried using my app to unlock the bronco and it was in… “deep sleep mode” whatever the hell that is. I had to run back inside and grab my fob.

That's another cleaver and nicely done idea. Maybe we can 3D print in soft rubber a wearable to strap the key FOB electronics (with out the casing) to our wrist.
