I took my 2024 Badlands SAS with Hoss 3.0 to Off Road Warehouse (ORW) for a leveling kit. My Bronco has 6800 miles and has not been off-road yet......... but it definitely will be.
ORW called me and said they will not install the leveling kit due to an upper ball-joint issue. They could have easily just installed the kit and sent me on my way after collecting my $$$$. But they didn't....... kudos to ORW for being honest and customer oriented!
They made a video of the issue:
The nut cannot tighten the joint due to the shank hitting the base of the nut and not tightening the ball joint.
I took it to a Ford Dealership and they checked it out and said it was fine.... I fired them!
I then went back to the dealership who sold it to me, and they agreed this is bad.
This is on BOTH sides!
They have had the Bronco for a week and said they will have to investigate and probably get a Ford rep. involved since my vehicle is not involved on the "loose upper control arm nut" issue.
Here is my video that I made and sent to the dealership who said it was fine after they did their inspection.... they have yet to respond after I sent this to them.
