When I remove my drivers side window on my soft top, it it nearly impossible to get it to slide along the track. It seems that the two tracks are misaligned. The front short track is higher, much higher than the longer rear track. It is just as hard to get the windows to slide back on. Has anyone else had this issue?

Good morning! If you send over a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer info, I can look into your concerns on my end.

Dumb reply from @Ford....that's how they're built. No one knows exactly why, but you have to wiggle and jiggle and cuss. There's a guy who trimmed off one of the leading edges, but most of us just get sorta used to it.

I stopped by my dealership and spoke with them. They asked me to bring it in (I was at work when I stopped in). I am now sitting at the dealership and they are looking at it. I’ll let you all know if they do anything

So the visit went ok I guess. They looked at it, agreed it should be corrected. Said the part they believe is defective is available and said they would submit the warranty claim and see what Ford says. I have never utilized a vehicle warranty (somehow never needed to) so I will see what happens.

Huh. Mine does the exact same thing.

Please let us know if the new part solves this one when they get it installed.

Will do, they have to get the warranty work approval first. They said the part is available and in Atlanta I believe so we will see

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that nothing changes. Those things are designed misaligned for unknown reasons... Super dumb, huge pita. And need another 1/8"in length.

This issue and the redicilous design of the rear hatch cause me to get instantly ticked off. I don’t get how anyone signed off on the soft too.

You can stick your hand through the top above the doors …a strip of Velcro would have done wonders there. It’s like the entire soft top was a design challenge for a freshmen high school intro to engineering class or something.

Ok, I’ll stop. Anyway, I’m still hanging onto a thread of hope the new part is better.

I agree, this is the one thing I liked about the Jeep over the Bronco....

What year top? The newer soft tops with the side seam running the length are much more ridged along the side.

2023. I did see the new ridges up too but I still think they could have done a lot better. I heard Bestop made it so I guess I expected better. My old TJ too was awesome.
