In all fairness, once I reported the issue to the Sync team, they did a great job of stopping the roll out and getting the fix out as quickly as they could seeing all the red tape and BS they need to go through when something like this happens. It is still unclear (to me) if the issue came from Ford's side or B&O engineers since looking from the outside in, I am on a need-to-know-basis. However, their instant response time was commendable, imo. Thanks for confirming that Ford's so called "Updates" are often actual downgrades & screw-ups to the existing vehicles. Making updates to software is very complicated and difficult since they have to be backwards compatible with the millions of existing installations being supported. In addition to the new installations usually driving the update. At heart Ford isn't a software company. They don't have a good appreciation of this difficulty. When it comes to software they don't really know what they're about. This is why I disabled all updates last Sept. We have zero problems and I plan to never update our Broncos again
In addition, most updates are related to phones or audio. We never connect phones and our audios work great. So there's no need for "Updates"
