What was your reservation date? And when was your order date? And are you getting both the $4,350 in PP as well as a MY transition/private offer?

Just wanted to share my experience this past Friday when I went to pick up my 3/4/22 WT order. I was prepared with my Private Offer of $2925 and a list of all the ‘23 price increase PP via the flow chart and my signed DORA, in total about $6525 below the window sticker. They were fine with the PO but said there is no PP program for ‘23. They pulled out the DRIVE report as well and said “see, only these apply”. I called BS. After some back and fourth they applied the $2500 walk-away offer and bumped my OBX trade-in $1K from what they quoted me a few months ago so in the end it came to within $200 of what my expectations were and we did the deal. Not sure why they went this route but it all worked out and I have my WT….finally.

Can you look at my post from earlier. I might have did the math wrong but I would love to use the argument when I pick mine up. I have a feeling there will be some BS involved.
Did you end up getting close to $6600 removed from the msrp?

I did get a positive resolution. In an email from the liaison she said I will get my Bronco for the price on my order sheet. She stated the dealership will reimburse me once they get credited by Ford. I picked up my Bronco on 7/15 and the sales folks were exceptionally nice. While completing final paperwork the sales manager wondered if I had talked to someone... I played dumb and just said I hade sent an email inquiry to an address I found in one of the forums. Anyway, he said that I will be getting the full $4,350 back from them as soon as they get it. Guess my email made some ripples all the way down to the sales manager. If you have not already done so, I suggest you email those I referenced. Be nice though. Simply state your dealer is saying you have to pay current window sticker price and you believe you should be paying what is stated on your sales order. I provided my vin, order price, window sticker price, and a case number given to me from help line. Good luck!

You guys definitely should get both. The Private Offer comes off the top. The Retail PP can be taken at the sale or after which sucks because you lose the tax moneys. Up to the dealer. But bottom line, you get both. One is not tied to the other or connected in any way.,

100% Ford has stated all along that orders not filled in 2023 will lose all PP and need to be reordered for 2024.

You can bet the new year will come at a higher price. Does your dealer have any visibility if you could get it built this year with the hardtop and add a soft on your own later?

I suppose I could ask that. I wanted to get the pricing advantage since the dual tops is only $700 more than the hard top. Not sure they would honor that, but I will ask!

That’s quite a savings. Never priced it. I guess you could order and see what happens.

I did not have a reservation. Original order date was 2/9/2022. I placed the order while visiting the dealership. Converted to a model year 2023 in September of 2022, like everyone else. I was given the $2,595 private offer at time of purchase / delivery. The $4,350 retail price protection will be sent to me via a check once dealer is credited. I had to eat the extra tax though. No biggie, in the scope of things. (Although the dealer absorbed ~ $225 in additional sales tax due to a recent tax rate increase here in GA. That was nice of them.) Again, politeness goes a long way. Include the name of you dealership somewhere in the email. If these folks get inundated with emails they may not be as responsive as they were to me.

I got $6495 when all said and done so they shorted me about $200. Wasn’t worth fighting with them for that. I also cashed in the prorated balance of $958 from my ESP on my ‘22 OBX which in hindsight was a waste of money IMO until the factory warranty is about to expire. I’m happy it’s finally in the driveway

Yeah I calculated the same amount when you factor in private offer, price increase, and price protection. It should be more tbh since some folks are getting price protection for all of the increases.

This is a clusterfuck. I’ve got three very different responses from Ford & dealer about my case. Only one agrees with the flowchart here.

Dealer originally said I *only* had the private offer cert (2925) but no price protection (4350). They’re now saying I have the price protection (all 4350) but I won’t qualify for the original private offer.

This week, Ford rep “A” at marketing number says the private offer cert is still valid and should get applied at purchase. She says I ALSO should get price protection for midyear changes, and the dealer gets reimbursed for the difference later. (This aligns perfectly with @RagnarKon’s thread and many members’ experiences.)

Ford rep “B” (spoke with her the same day) says I have the private offer cert but no price protection. This one insisted she was right because she got clarification from mgmt recently. She was fairly dismissive about my concern there *could still be a misunderstanding* and said she wasn’t going to escalate it but finally, very reluctantly, said she’d ask if any supervisor could reach out to me. (Not holding my breath.)

I may kick off a survey on 2023 MY price protection + private offers to see how many folks have actually received both. And I don’t mean “received both” as in “one was applied at sale and the other check is on the way after the dealer gets reimbursed from Ford.” This sounds like chicken you can’t count until the eggs hatch. I want to be wrong.

My Bronco was just delivered to my dealer at Flood Ford, in Narraganset in RI this week. While I am still finalizing my financing, Flood Ford finalized my cost and included the MY2022.5 Private Offer as well as applying the Price Protection for the MY 2023 increases.
The sales team and manager at Flood Ford are a class organization. I purchase my Bronco on March 5, 2022 and my dealer stood behind both Private Offer and PP.
Initially they quoted final price using just the MY2022.5 Private Offer, but I shared with my sales person about MY 2023 price protection for midyear changes, and that the dealer gets reimbursed for the difference from Ford MoCo. Using @RagnarKon’s flow chart, I built the following that I shared to finalize my cost, which was shared with the Sales Manager who agreed.
