Truthfully we have no way of proving it. The invoice price on your Bronco would have changed within Visions, and the dealer payment statement would have been with the price protection money. We as customers have access to neither of those. How do we go about proving that our dealers received the retail price protection reimbursement from Ford? I can't believe it is on us to bring proof, and that dealers are getting away with this. Truly mind blowing. I am owed about $3.5k from Feb and March price increases, so the amount is not insignificant.
Goes back to the "your dealer selection is incredibly important to your overall experience" because fundamentally we are buying the Bronco from our dealers, and not Ford. But... of course... most people weren't aware of all of this when they ordered.
With the power of hindsight, I should have made a post like this back in March 2021 when price protection was first announced, but I've never had an issue with a dealer upholding retail price protection (bought from four different Ford dealers over the past 2-3 decades), so I couldn't even fathom this becoming an issue.
