My apologies I'm sure this has been discussed before. Can anyone chime in with when your price protection/private offer should show tied to your account/name? My order was scheduled for 4/19/23, got my window sticker yesterday. When I called Ford customer service last week they said nothing for price protection/private offer was showing in my account. They said talk to my dealer. I did that and of course they are clueless. My original order was placed in 2021 for 2022, badlands sas/lux/v6/mic, sticker 58.5k. Reordered in 2022 for 2023, only change was from black to cactus gray. The order is showing in my ford account.

It is tied to the name & address (zip code) on the order... and the certificates should be there by the time you get a VIN.

If it's not there, then either your dealer did not do COVP, or your zip code changed at some point, or there is a typo somewhere.

If your dealer didn't do COVP, there is likely no way to correct it at this point. But if the certificate does exist and it is simply under a different name/address then you should be fine. Your dealer will have to contact Ford on their end to track it down.

If you did move at some point, you can just ask your dealer or Ford Customer Service to look it up under your original zip code. If it does exist, ask for a certificate number, which should dramatically help when you go to pick up the vehicle.

According to the build sheet posted i have 5750.00 dollars of price protection from FMC. They're talking to me like i'm crazy here. Anyone else had this situation and how did you overcome it. My bronco is scheduled to be built next week. Ordered 2/17/22. I used to work at this dealer, it's a smaller dealer in a large market in South Carolina.

Me thinks a lot of this “Dealer confusion” is by design and they re very likely playing games to try to wear people down; or better yet, piss people off so they ll walk and dealer gets vehicle and chance at ADM … this entire fiasco and gamesmanship is an embarrassment and joke on Ford and the Dealers. Long term might cost them more profit than their short term gains. Time will tell.

Need to explain to them that price protection is two parts.

(1) Model Year Transition Private Offer which is what they see in Smart Vincent
AND
(2) 2023 model year retail price protection

For part (1) you can also call Ford customer service and see if they have a certificate number associated with your order. I don't understand this part fully but I believe the dealer would have needed to complete Ford's Customer Order Verification Program ("COVP") for this certificate to actually show up. Which in part means your dealer had to submit your drivers license and an order preview signed by you. Link to more COVP Info

For part (2) tell your dealer to look at the Retail Price Protection information Ford provided to them, which for 2023 is at least the following documents:
(1) C&I/Pricing Announcement: EFC12360
and
(2) C&I/Pricing Announcement: EFC12491

If they will print these out for you and let you see them even better. They won’t get paid by Ford for part (2) for 45-60 days so they may want to cut you a check for that part after they verify payment.

ALSO, follow the charts on post one, some of the protections depend on your original order date and not changing your order.

Private offer amount is $3220
Retail Price Protection for the options adds up to $2850.

Am I getting both amounts? or just the Private offer?

Price protection is two parts.

(1) Model Year Transition Private Offer which is what they see in Smart Vincent
AND
(2) 2023 model year retail price protection

(1) is essentially price protection between model years and (2) is price protection from price increases that have occurred within a model year.

You should get both, (1) seems more automatic in that dealers will offer it and (2) seems to take some work bc dealers claim to not understand it or genuinely do not. They also don’t get paid by Ford for (2) until 45-60 days after your purchase so may not want to credit you at delivery.

Totally up to the dealer on whether or not they are going to honor the price protections.

Still cost me 3k over the msrp in January 2021. Glad I got the bronco but disappointed I did not get the msrp promised by ford in 2021….

So I am guessing they took the private offer off of the NEW MSRP instead of the DORA MSRP? From what I have read they are "supposed" to take it off of DORA? I can say that (at least for my build), what the flowchart says I am supposed to get equals either of these---

NEW MSRP - (DORA MSRP - Private Offer) = What the Flowchart says I am supposed to get including all of the Price Protection items. So, this tells me that taking the Private offer off of the DORA MSRP is how it is supposed to go. Just my crappy math....

They have to discount off invoice but end result will be close to DORA price minus certificate.
