I think you are being generous to give it even that long. At least it is environmentally friendly paint (smirk, shaking my head).
Yeah, but I was talking about a garage kept, well maintained, weekly washed, monthly waxed Honda that gets 3 or 4 thousand miles a year put on it………

I have a white Honda accord that is garage kept and it unfortunately won't last long, as the paint is environment friendly, but the engine will last a long time.

Honda's are not what they are made out to be. The newer CRVs suffer from fuel in the oil. My moms CRV had transmission issues. Was a common problem for several years. Neighbor had a Civic. Intake manifold cracked, exhaust manifold cracked, finally dumped it. All vehicles have issues. The dealer and how they handle them is the key.

Honda and Toyota dealers have service departments too. I have worked with techs that came out of those dealerships, and the idea that they just do maintenance is definitely not true. Toyota had widespread problems with engine failures back in the 90s because they restricted coolant flow to the cylinder head as a cheap way to lower HC emissions. They got the heads so hot that it cooked the oil and plugged the drain back holes. That filled the head and the pan would go dry and smoke the engine, even on well maintained engines. Toyota denied warranty until litigation forced them to honor it.

Sad they don't import the real landcruisers. Obviously the terrorists are running all around in them without constant maintenance in sandy dusty conditions without roads. Too bad they do not import them into USA.

You can add Subaru to the list of overrated vehicles. Besides engine issues, their suspensions are garbage and need parts replaced well before most other vehicles. Rotors are garbage too. Purchased a Forester for the wifey awhile back. Never again.

When does your plant re-open ?
Back to work tomorrow ?
UAW Ford counsel have to vote on Sunday on whether or not to send the tentative agreement to the membership for a vote. I figure we'll vote sometime next week.
Prolly another week or so before production ramps back up.

Wow still another week or so
Then MAP's October Bronco production really could be near zero. We'll see in Ford's monthly report next week
according to Shawn Fain’s update video, workers are going back to work immediately.

“Browning called on all Ford union members to go back to work, adding that they would "be receiving further instructions on the process of returning to work soon." He called it "a strategic move to get the best deal possible," saying it would keep the pressure on Stellantis and GM.”

They are still pretty dang good though. My wife’s CRV never had fuel dilution problems, but she also drove 60 miles one way to work. Other than oil changes, I put in less than $100 in maintenance for 165K miles. Just helped our son buy a new Odyssey van. We really wanted to like the Toyota Sienna, but always kept coming back to the Odyssey even though gas mileage sucks.

I’ll still lean toward Toyota for future purchases. Love my Bronco, but not Ford.

Ok, but @KyTruckPlant is one of the Ford workers on strike. He says another week or so - after UAW membership vote next week
I stand corrected. We start production Monday morning. I made an assumption...
