I reached out to two dealers in September of 2021 about a build. I sent both a full build sheet. One dealer responded (dealer A) and I placed the order, signed the DORA, paid the deposit. The other dealer (dealer B) never responded.

Fast forward to October of 22 when Ford cracked down on orders going to the person who placed the order and the Dealer B reached out and said that they had placed an order in my name had signed my Dora for me and paid my deposit for me.

I unintentionally had two orders in my name. On October 5th, 2022 the Dealer B order got picked for a 2022 and built on 10/12/2022. It is currently in transit. I have done zero paperwork or anything on this Bronco and the dealer is not local to me.

Today I get an email from Dealer A, my local dealer who I have my official order with, saying my 2023 Bronco is scheduled for December 12, 2023.

What should I do? Wait two months and get a 2023 from my local dealer? or just take the 2022 and let my local dealer sell the 2023??
Buy both, sell one for a profit.

If you're not ot a reservation holder, you should get the early year price protection on MY22, but may not on MY23?????? Someone could probably speak to that point.

The way my finances work... :ROFLMAO: I am not in a position to sit on both Broncos for any significant amount of time without some lifestyle changes.

I am not a res holder. I was under the impression that the price protection would carry through to 23.

Buy the 22’ and the 23’. Trade in the 23’ to Carvana for profit and buy a Rubicon Wrangler. Then you’ll have a daily driver and an off road vehicle.

Talked to my local Dealer about the situation and he was very helpful.

He recommended buying the one from dealer B if I could get it at MSRP and immediately taking it to Carmax, so that the shady dealer doesn’t get a huge ADM. carmax is also selling for less ADM than the dealer, so whatever buyer ends up with this thing gets a better deal. I still believe this gets a bit tricky with Title/Registration/etc.

On the other hand, I am still inclined just to call Dealer B out on their shady order dealings, but let them sell it at ADM and not think more into it.

Either way the 23 from my local dealer is the bronco I plan to end up with.
