Family wants my (reasonable) Christmas list. I've looked at the Twisted Shifterz site on and off, but there are too many options to just send my wife there to shop... LoL

I don't mind a slight increase in height over OEM as long as the 1-3-5 throws don't feel too far away. I have one of those center console armrest pads that makes my right elbow rest a little higher then OEM also. My questions for those that have gone down this road:

- Are the custom colored knobs not aluminum? And therefore not weighted?

- How much higher is the V2 adapter? Description says "slightly higher" which must be shorter than V1

- Is their Badlands orange Grabber orange?

If available, I'm leaning toward black with orange grill-style engraving, or the inverse of that. Also weighted. Thx!

I can't speak the colored knobs, but as for height, I also have a arm rest cover and it feels perfectly leveled (might also be that I'm so used to it now) I have no complaints about the throw and love the feel (mine is pretty heavy)

I started with the higher height one and was so glad when they offered the factory height one. The higher one has an odd, to me, adapter that the factory height one doesn't have since it's mounted differently.

The ones I bought were both white with red numbering so don't know about the orange.

The white factory height is weighted aluminum, I don't think the raised height one was, description states aluminum adapter and I think the knob is resin but I'd ask them to verify.

Factory height:

Thanks for the replies. Looking at your pics here, I wonder if the raised version is their Version 1 and their Ver 2 is somewhere in between your 2 pics. I'll try to call them tomorrow and get some clarification on the material / weight options.

I paid the extra $7 and got a black knob with red lettering, looks great. The added height ends up being perfect. The only oddity is now the reverse/crawl lockout maneuver with your fingers will feel a bit awkward. This goes away after a couple days!
And yes, these are like a hollow pool ball, they do not add a significant amount of weight themselves, but with the steel adapter and the added height the end result seems just right.
If you have any thoughts at all that the stock knob just feels inadequate/plastic-y/uncomfortable, you will be pleased.

Yep, V1 is the raised adapter. I remember when V2 came out, they're factory height but they didn't have the white cue ball available at that time only black and a few other machined options but all were weighted aluminum and different from the V1 knob/ball. If you had to assign a number to it I think my current one would be V2.5 as it's the latest iteration that I can see from the site.

Either way, you'll be happy!

With your Heritage interior and the white dash panels, the white ball and red numbers look right at home! Leaning toward black aluminum for my badlands.

I called them today asked about the height options. It sounds like there are only two options, the taller version or V1 and the OE V2 which is basically factory height. The custom colors are acrylic and require the additional height. Acrylic is not available with the V2 factory height.

Ford Bronco Twisted shifterz questions 1733329492647-yh

I like the look and feel of the stainless shifter, but damn, son, didn’t realize I might get frostbite in the winter.

Didn’t like the look and feel of the locking nut, so removed it and used blue Loctite to secure.

Maybe that custom lockout can be made to match.

When I called them with some questions, the lady I spoke to mentioned that the stainless get hotter in the sun than the black or white aluminum. I would have thought the shiny stainless would reflect and stay cooler. It must really cold-soak also this time of year... :)
