Iām about to turn over 15k miles in my ā24 that Iām a couple weeks away from my anniversary with, and I drive it like I stole it from Jay Leno.
Your comment about āclunkā made me remember⦠In my first week or two of driving it, I sometimes had my arm and foot a bit out of sync. Iād pull it out...
Hereās what I learned with my two door, from two near-miss incidents where I had to swerve hard right on dry pavement, both north of 70mph. (Iām learning to chill.) Mine has the General Grabbers, a much softer (and quieter) tire than the K02.
When you swerve/corner hard, youāre loaded the...
I waded through three pages of much wittier, funnier, and generally way better commentary than I could come up with at low caffeine levels.
The duck thing is effing dumb. (Iām really thinking of a far more socially and politically incorrect word than dumb, but canāt say it.)
Please letās not...
Rear seat delete, squatch basket, oversized Molle door pockets, round twisted shifterz billiard ball shift knob with extension⦠but my all time fav are still the little billet grocery bag hooks that go on the rear roll bar!š
Personal rant, I donāt understand the behavior I see at the gas station, people keep pumping the handle like theyāre milking a cow after the initial shutoff. The tank is already full, youāre just filling up the filler and overflow tubes!!! Bound to go out the side in the next turn.
not saying...
Same, 215 and 10 interchange in Colton/San Bernardino dumps it EVERY time, in any direction. Used to think it was the AM broadcast station to the NW, but doubt it.
Am an actual communications technician for work, and havenāt noticed any readily visible equipment in the area that might do it...
'24 Black Diamond. Have keyless entry module. Dealer I got it from (via accessories) not honoring their gentleman's agreement to program it for me free, but $175. My dealer I purchased Bronco from in Norco... IYKYK... might take the vehicle there again for something if they were the last Ford...
Very cool! So is that a non-SAS two door? Whatās the final height of the top of the tire?
Please definitely post pics of your new caps when they arrive. Thanks!
Oh, and whatās our bolt pattern (6 on 5.5?) and stock offset btw?
My first non-ghetto vehicle in 15 years just feels a little... ghetto, now. I lasted 6 months and 6500 miles, but now got a nice crack that is fortunately just to the right of my central field of vision, so I'm not going cross-eyed looking through it. And therefore not in a rush to replace it...
Want to mount a circuit breaker here with a couple self-tapping screws. Anything behind that might be expensive or necessary?
To be clear, thatās the drivers side inner fender support, aft of the fuse box.
Thanks!
I leave mine off as I return to sport mode every time I start up.
But I do turn it back on whenever Iām in the drive through at the burger place! 𤪠Seems to be the only time it feels appropriate.
So I pulled apart the contraption behind my mirror again, (very very late 2024 BD)and the connector is different from those shown on Amazon. Iām probably going to have to do a custom job here, maybe even a 7805 voltage regulator. Shown is the plug when pulled out of the lane assist camera. I...
Every time I see one of those ātricked out to the maxā overlanding rigs, I can help but think of the opening credits of Beverly Hillbillies where they have every random item they own hanging off that T truck. š
Getting a little off track here⦠popped my cover off to get a look at the electrical connector. Mines dissent on my late-ā24. I donāt have a powered mirror, nor the lane departure feature⦠but I have a lane departure camera. Anything I can do with this thing??
Where do those of you with the Garmin Mini mount it? I have one from my prior vehicle, but havenāt found a spot on the Bronco where I want to mount it. Thanks!
