That's good to hear. My wife and I did a couple hours drive this weekend with the doors off. I loved it, but I think she'd be more comfortable with the tubes.

Nope, JCR appears to have a better product design and will be less. I don't know why anyone would buy the Ford tube doors.

The more I see from Ford, the more I’m discouraged. I have a 4/25 build date. Wonder if I can buy and resell.
$1000 for mud flaps, that don’t work on steps. And now this pricing? It’s not a Land Rover. Might be worth the Land Rover toys if this is what’s happening. I hope Jeep has been working on a new edition since all the hype. Fix what they could easily fix. Disgusting pricing.

If your vehicle did not come with doors from the factory, then you don't need doors. There are many posts about this on the jeep forums if you want to research, but I can tell you that my Notary confirmed this and is a big Jeep fan, and her son is driving her mom's early 80's CJ that didn't come with doors from the factory. She said the cops tried to give him a hard time at Bantam one year and he shoed them the paperwork that his Jeep didn't come with doors

There was a rumor that they were also crash tested? Does anyone have information that would croborate that rumor? If so, they may be leveraging that for the price.

Didn't read the whole thread, but if you go to the build and price on the Ford website, the info on the tube doors says "Meets all Ford safety and corrosion requirements"

My Ford OEM Tube Doors are shipping in a few weeks, this is the new price if you haven’t seen it.
I’m really not happy since it’s always been published around $1500…

For me, I like the open doors off feel, but my wife won't ride with doors off. It's a little disconcerting for some, and having some feeling that you are locked into the vehicle can help.

She can stay home or ride in the trailer.
