Can you modify the display in base SAS to show what gear your are in , In normal mode?

Auto shows it in Sport Mode? I didn’t realize that…
I’m pretty sure mine doesn’t. I don’t use sport mode often though.

From other threads I think the answer is no....other than touching the shift buttons to display it briefly.

This was one minor negative I found when driving my new base home- no visual of the 10 speed gears. I love it in my F150.
I use the drop down gear button to manage boost when pulling hills or headwinds etc.

I think it displays in other modes as well, likely just not normal. I can remember when driving an auto on the offroadeo that when I was in manual mode in the M1, M2 gears they were displayed on the screen. I was likely in Rock Crawl mode.

I've never seen a gear number in my Bronco in any mode. A bit dissapointing since my JLUR had it and it seems like such an easy thing to display.
On an auto trans, if you use the manual shift buttons, it will show but it does not show otherwise, in any mode.
