It really depends on the trails on which you plan to overland. If you look up fun trails in places you want to travel to and find that there are a ton of steep switchbacks, then TTA would be a gamechanger for you, but it's not necessary.So, you would take the crawl ratio over trail turn assist for overlanding.
From a few years of stomping the piss out of my gas pedal with one, it is not. Also, unimproved roads to hunting spots covered in snow never demanded more of my lowly F150 4WD than it could supply. Some slipping, but nothing that needed a Bronco.10 speeds are both beastly and unstable from my reads.
I asked my wife after showing her the videos and she said I'd be happier with the manual despite her probably never driving it due to the transmission (like I was ever going to let her anyway, lol).I’m only getting an automatic because my wife said so. If I had the choice between stick and TTA, I’d take the stick every time, every day.
