Topless Trailrax TRMR Roof Rack

Curious, would anyone else be interested in a fixture that could attach to the roll cage structure and allow a Trailrax TRMR rack to be run without the rear roof section on the Bronco? I know I would, particularly on our 2-door. I considered fabricating something this summer, but never got the time. Sure would like to buy something for that.

I also have a 2 door.
I have not yet purchased a rack, but the TrailRax modular system is on my wish list.
I've been wondering how much effort it would be using their system to switch back and forth between with top and topless (or even soft top).
Do you think their side Pak Rax could support the roof load without the top?

The Pak Rax attach to the rack longitudinal member at the top and bolt a fixture attached to the Bronco rear quarter panel attachment (under the top) at the bottom. If the fixture is robust and holds the rack at the same hight as the top does (which it would need to do because of the front mounts on the windshield, unless it were shimmed) it should be fine. In fact, I'd suspect a fixture made from 3/16" or 1/4" aluminum extrusion and loaded in compression directly into the steel roll cage structure would be a helluva lot stronger than the multi-piece crack prone plastic rear cap.

I could not figure it out from the @TrailRax website.
What I was hoping for was a configuration like your first photo (with MIC hardtop) but without a top, or (even better) could be used with the Havoc Offroad Voyager Fastback soft top.

Even with the Pak Rax, the rear of the main rack is clamped to the plastic cap, much like the OEM rack rails attach. You'd need to have more support that the Pak Rax alone, or there would be minimal load carry capability in compression and little side to side stability.

Hey everyone! I believe this is a video that will help. All hardtop pieces can be removed even with the TRMR and Pak Rax installed. Removing the front piece first allows you to slide the other pieces off.

I'm looking for Interest in a mount that attaches directly to the roll bar and allows the rack to be used with no top at all, back cap removed, particularly on a 2 door.
